Agree. The 5 star reviews must be a plant. They completely underestimated the job, showed up 3 hours later than their original start time, suggested we get another guy, when we got the other guy it took him nearly 2 hours to arrive, made us pay overtime even though they showed up late, and generally seemed unprofessional (breaks took 2x longer than they said they would, broke stuff, scratched walls badly). Save yourself the trouble and call a different company.

I whatever you do, absolutely do not hire Master Movers. My husband and I hired Master Movers to do a full pack and move to a home right next door. The week of the moved, they confirmed a three man crew. The day started almost an hour late, the third mover didn’t arrive until 2pm, when the move started early in the morning. In addition, about an hour in, the two men pulled my husband into a bedroom and asked if they could bring a crew that didn’t work for Master Movers and if we would pay cash.

STAY AWAY from these movers. Do your research on companies like this one and note the several very negative reviews on this site. I wish I had. Instead, as a 65+ single woman I feel taken advantage of and have been told by Chris, the operations manager who is very good at twisting words, that in fact I must be the reason for the difficulties with my move, not them. * Move was local, North Portland to Clark County, only furniture/heavy items.

I agree with the other uses who are confident that this company is seeding their own reviews. Let me start by saying that I have NEVER written a negative review in my entire life. This is my first. Ever. I was given a quote over the phone. In short, the quote was GROSSLY underestimated. It took more than double the amount of time that they said it would, which included OVERTIME pay as well!

Terrible! Avoid these guys! I'm convinced the "5 star" reviews have been planted by the company--don't believe it. How bad were Master Movers? Let me count the ways... 1. They lied about the cost. When I was quoted their rate, they neglected to mention that it didn't include an extra hour of "getting to and from the depot". They finally mentioned it to me on the morning of the move, when it was far too late to do anything about it. 2. The movers were untrained.

If i could give negative stars i would. This company is a scary and truly a bunch of scam artist. They even give your personal information to the workers so they can text you terrifying things. They do not finish the job. My husband and children had to unload. If they send a diffrent ethnicity to you they accuse you of being rich white people who should be scared of them. This company is down right out of control. We have contacted the bbb, ftc and our states licensing board. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

They stole our jewelry! I hired Master Movers Moving and Storage of Portland, OR to relocate our household in September of 2021. During the move, company employees stole $4,000 of jewelry out of a sealed box and retaped it. We filed a claim with the company. We filed a police report. The police found evidence of the theft and a warrant was issued. We have pleaded with Master Movers for the last 8 months and they have refused to help us recover our items or compensate us for anything.

This outfit doesn’t seem to be on the up an up, it was a bait and switch routine. They gave us a price from the beginning, when they came to picked up what was in a 10 x10 storage unit the charged us 2 an half times as much. We arranged also to have them pick up an adjustable bed at our home for $85.00 but when they were done loading the storage contents they said it would be over $2,000.00 to pick up the bed. We put a stop to the check we gave them, we called there office to straighten this out.
