After my terrible experience, I wondered how Meridian has such great reviews? But here's why: Meridian BUYS AWAY negative ratings! It’s costing me $200 to write this. That’s what they offered me for my damaged items, but only IF I sign a contract that prohibits me from posting any negative reviews! We used them for loading only. My trust in them came from their glowing Google reviews (4.9 average!) Morgan, the company owner, personally came to my house for the loading estimate.

AWFUL……This is the most unprofessional moving company I have ever used. My king size mattress (worth over $3K) was ruined by them and they did NOT take responsibility for it. I asked for them to show me proof that they addressed this with their insurance company-crickets….I took pictures and sent to the owner and he refused to remedy the situation-it’s been a month and nothing. My original review was removed, but I’m sharing this again because I believe it’s important for others to have transparency before choosing who they hire. I have been dealing directly with the owner, Morgan, and my experience has been extremely complicated from start to finish. During our move, our hot tub was damaged, holes were put into our walls, and our bed frame was cracked due to negligence from the moving team.
Hi Dayna, it has become clear that you are engaging in a coordinated attempt to attack our business reputation by posting multiple, repetitive reviews across our different state-level listings.
Our estimate was nothing close to what we paid in the end. Morgan gave us a price range for the job and it ended up being twice as much as what we were expecting. Pay attention to the negative reviews here because we didn't and we paid for it, literally. The movers were all great and handled our property with care so this review is no reflection on them.

Hi I used Meridian and they were terrible. Slow which cost me more money and their 4 hours turned into $1100 going from North Port to Bee Ridge (35 minutes). Don’t use them! On the other hand I have used College Hunks for a smaller in town move and they were great!

They ripped me off charged me $175 to drive the Truck back to North Port. They charged me $175 to drive to sarasota to do the job, but $175 to drive the truck back. RIP OFf

Zachariah, Ricky and their friend (so sorry I don’t remember his name) did an outstanding job for us the end of July. They were polite, friendly, professional, prompt, and so very careful. They ensured that they communicated with us so that all was clear and understood by everyone. The three young men went above and beyond expectations in a three-stop collection of items and move.
I recently used Meridian Moving & Storage for my move, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! From the initial quoting process all the way through the completion of the move, everything was seamless and stress-free. The team was professional, friendly, and incredibly efficient. They arrived right on time, loaded everything up quickly and carefully, and before I knew it, I was fully moved into my new place.
I had Z, EJ, & Ricky show up to move us intra-state (few hours away). They showed up ready to rock & were professional and courteous. They did a great job caring for my things as well as the house. These guys hustle, and I can tell they know what they’re doing. I’ve moved all over the U.S. & overseas so I’ve seen the spectrum of poor to great service. These guys are excellent and I would recommend them!
Meridian Moving and Storage is the best!! The team was so helpful with everything, it couldn't have gone more smooth. Anyone who works here that I came in contact with was professional and nice. Highly recommend this company to help with your move
