I felt that the local help from Byron seemed friendly; however, the final cost was much higher than we discussed ($20,000!). Also, several items were crushed and broken in the process of moving. One of the workers stole 9 drawers of my jewelry. I had insurance but was only told it was in effect for 30 days, after I had purchased the insurance. Someone stole my wedding ring and another very expensive ring. When the company was informed, I heard “there’s nothing we can do “, not even an apology!

I wouldn’t recommend this company if you want a respectable response. I was trying to move out of state the sales rep Steve acted like it was no problem going to be a very easy job. Kept me waiting on a quote for over a week. I called left messages for him to get back to me. Once he figured out it was too small of a job. He just quoted me $10,000 for my one bedroom and got me off the phone asap. Rude rude rude.

Most difficult place to deal with, my family was supposed to move on friday but they refused to move us because of ice on the sidewalk which we were already cleaning. We were told by multiple employees that they would return on monday, Monday comes and we are told they are coming tuesday..keep in mind we were supposed to leave saturday.. staff is entirely rude and very unhelpful and unprofessional. NOT HAPPY.

Absolutely the worst move I have ever had, if I could have given 0 stars I would have. One of the lower bids, told me that they can get it there in 7-10 days. Just a ploy to get you to use their services. I don't recommend this company to move my dogs toys. Next time I will pay more for guaranteed delivery ON TIME

Again Metcalf was everything we would expect from a professional moving firm. It starts with the people. Rita is a great ambassador building trust and confidence through her prompt, professional and fair treatment of us. The packing and moving team were on time, efficient and pleasant to work with. We had no damage to our belongings or either of our homes. Frank was the leader of the crew and made sure everything went smoothly. We were very happy. Finally the pricing was fair and good value. The moving crew with Metcalf Moving did an excellent job loading, storing and unloading all of our belongings. Everything was handled with care, as if it belonged to their own grandparents! They placed all of my furniture carefully, exactly where I wanted it and even helped situate the beds after i assembled them. An added bonus, their pricing beat the other big companies we received bids from. I highly recommend Metcalf Moving & Storage.

This is the third time that I've used Metcalf. I've been very happy with them each time. This particular time the young man were amazingly strong and quick. They had awesome personalities and I really enjoyed chatting with them as they did their job. The office personnel are also awesome.
