I hired MG Moving Services to help me move just the big items—couch, mattress, dining table, recliners, etc. It was supposed to be a quick job, maybe 3 hours max. They arrived on time at 9 AM (a woman and a man), and to be fair, they did handle my furniture well. Everything was wrapped carefully, and they seemed to know how to avoid damaging walls or items. But here’s where things went wrong.
Matt, A customer service rep will do anything he can to get you to sign only to have hidden fees added at the end of the move. Expect a bait and switch and added fees to increase the cost substantially. Go with someone else.
My wife and I were given a quote three weeks prior to our appointment that was set. We were selling our house on short notice (30 days to be exact) due to getting deployed. Our moving appointment was July 28, 2016. We had a representative come out from "My Guys" that did a walk through of our house. He specifically told my wife that they had the storage space for our furniture to be stored for the year that I am supposed to be gone.
We sincerely apologize for this massive inconvenience. We tried our best to accommodate this storage request, but due to other customers extending their stays in peak season, the storage capacity of our warehouse would have been exceeded … More
I don’t normally leave bad reviews but we had a tough move. My Guys delivered our boxes but not all of them. When we noticed the driver said I’ll have to check and left then called/emailed. Basically got the run around and didn’t hear back. The worst part is that it was all family heirlooms from grandparents that we will never get back. We used to use them during the holidays and added to the rest of our Christmas decorations.
We used my Guys moving several years ago and were very pleased with the move, great experience. I have now called several times and it goes right to voice mail. Not sure is the company changed hands in the last ten years, but now looking for a different company to complete our move.

TLDR: beware of this company. They quoted me $8k and ended up charging me $14k after they had packed up my stuff. Total fraud. Please be careful with moving companies-I learned the hard way …

We moved to our retirement dream home, two hours away...on the two hottest, most humid days in June! Max, Orlando, Norin, Balmore, Luis and Noah were phenomenal! Max and his crew walked each room of the house with me, to hear my needs and expectations for this process, then they proceeded to work seamlessly to secure fragile items/furniture and get everything loaded into the truck safely. They were respectful of my flooring, walls, etc - and nothing was scratched or broken in this process!
Moving to a retirement dream home is a big milestone, and it's fantastic to hear that Max, Orlando, Norin, Balmore, Luis, and Noah made it all come together seamlessly. Taking special care with your belongings, especially in challenging weather, speaks to their commitment and teamwork.
From start to finish this was the best moving experience I ever had. The movers were on time, kind, professional, and fast. The townhome we moved into is a new build and there are a lot of tight corners on the stairs but they navigated it without any damage to our home or property.
