Midtown Moving and Storage - Atlanta Movers

<<< HORRIBLE >>> Hands down the worst experience I have ever had with a business, any business. Like you, I based the hire on the stellar reviews and early sales effort. Honestly, I have never seen a business with reviews like this and service like I experienced. Possibly they excel with short intown moves, no idea. My move was to Florida from Roswell. The amount of damages was staggering.

Never use this company. They stole my very expensive new Jordan sneakers. They broke 4 items during the move, and I can understand that, but they literally stole my sneakers and lost my family heirloom that cannot be replaced. They didn’t even tell me my broken items were broken until I saw 1 item randomly shattered in the garage (see item). So when I tried to file a claim that items were missing, they told me they were broken and we never saw the sneakers; they were properly in a box.

Good afternoon call in and spoke to a gentleman to get a quote he was very unprofessional so I thought maybe he couldn’t hear me so I call back ……..I’m asking him questions trying to get a understanding if they need to come out so I can get a quote but nothing but rude unprofessional customer service than he told he don’t think I want to move very disappointed this is a place a business why i denied because I’m black very disappointed

Where to even start. Midtown Movers moved my belongings in January when my house was having work done. The move went relatively well until they broke a lamp. It had successfully made it through two others moves without any damage or even a scratch but they were careless. It was broken so badly that there was no way to repair it. I was told that they were sorry and embarrassed and would reimburse me for the lamp. Although they broke the lamp the move out went better than the return of my belongings.

I moved out of an apartment last May to have my things placed in storage and then moved back into a home this January, all with Midtown. What a disappointment. While I had positive interactions with the actual movers, unfortunately I had many, many things damaged in my move. This was not my first time moving. I have done so twice before, and that was when I was still in the Navy, which notoriously leads to poor moving experiences, and yet those other companies were great.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Worst move we’ve ever had! Don’t hire them!! They caused $10,000+ in damage… breaking multiple legs off of furniture pieces, breaking glass on the glass top desk, denting dryer, chipping refrigerator display, dents in dressers/cribs, stained couch, and more! We tried to work with the claims department that refused to give us a contact number to have an actual conversation with someone to discuss what happened.

Response to owners comments: The statements the owner made are not true. There were no issues with the items not having been assembled correctly and there was no statement or communication by the moving staff to that effect. The move total did not come out to be less than quoted - I paid the quoted hourly rate for the time required for the move. My feedback was not to question the cost or the insurance payments issued. I’m well aware of what was selected.

I called yesterday (05/04) and spoke to someone named Shuan. He quoted me for $681-$1014 move. This was an okay price. We consulted via phone regarding everything in my 2 bedroom apt. When I received my quote, I read on pg. 4 that I could receive a free in home consultation. This was actually recommended by the company on the quote page.
