Moishe's moving fell short of expectations in every conceivable way. Please do not trust anything marketed on their website. There are plenty of higher quality moving companies in NYC/NJ. 1. The moving time was set for 9am. They showed up at 1030am. 2. I had emailed and spoke to 2 different moving representatives to let them know that packing services were required, yet the movers showed up unaware they needed to pack. 3.

As an update: I spoke with another Moishes employee I had worked with previously to ask why I was having such a different experience with the long distance team than I had with Moishes previously. He said, “they likely are using local delivery people so they think it’s funny when you have bad service, because they already had your money so they don’t care”….again, that was from a fellow employee of Moishes… wish I had known before booking. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Came four days late from delivery window.
I hired Moishe's moving for my recent move last Wednesday, October 28th. I booked my move way in advance over the phone with Jordan Arroyo. We had several lengthy phone conversations to go over every single item from my apartment, number of boxes and special needs for some very delicate furniture pieces. He assured me three movers would be enough for my move and that he was calculating 6 hours even though my move was going to be much much shorter. He was VERY mistaken.

I would not recommend Moishe’s to anyone. I usually go with Piece of Cake for moves, but thought I’d try a new service. Completely regret it; Moishe’s was a nightmare. First, they tried to cancel on me with less than 24 hours notice and I had to put up a fuss to make sure they kept it. Second, the moving guys showed up late and immediately tried to upsell me before even looking at the entire apartment.
Lousy service. They don’t deserve any higher rating other than 2 for Their promptness , sturdy boxes and packing material. We went with them by paying high $$$ hoping will get good packing and moving service . They delivered my stuff after keeping it for few months . Here are the issues: 1. Did not install legs under my Heavy Chest of Drawers 2. Randomly packed stuff in different different boxes , did n’t mark them properly, very tough finding items 3.

I’ve used Moishe’s moving company twice. They worked with me on price both times. The first time there was minimal issue. Some damage to plants. The second time they tore holes in the couch, tore a hole in a lampshade, killed a plant, scratched a metal table and a book shelf. They worked with me on a discount post move but almost tried to charge me extra because their team took too long. I should have purchase the insurance because they did about $5,000 in damages to my furniture.

I used Moishes (GAM Storage) for my business for 10 years The service team are quite good But when I went to close my account and move my items to a new space the owners tried to hold me to contract terms they just made up I needed lawyers involved to get them to honor the original contract, and then they still charged me for the month it took them to respond to my lawyers The final delivery included a broken item There has been no follow up from them regarding any compensation for this broken item I am happy to…
