In their own words
Horrible service. They broke almost everything, the electronics no longer work, and it's nearly impossible to contact them. They refuse to take responsibility for the damage, even when their watches are on display. They lost several valuable items: a wool rug, a mattress, and a linen chair stained with soot. I had a nightmare with them.
We had the WORST experience ever. We were moved from Quebec to BC as part of a federal government work move. Some of our valuable belongings have gone missing after transiting in their warehouse in Quebec City (including Canada Goose and Arcteryx jackets!) No resolution has been achieved and they are ignoring us hoping that we will just give up. Don’t use this company unless you like losing your stuff.
A quick comment regarding the moving company (MONETTE EXPRESS). In my case, I sincerely believe that the staff present over the three days was insufficient. I had to invest my own time and energy to speed up the process. One of the driver's (father's) two sons seemed completely out of sorts; he took no initiative and appeared lost. When we unpacked the boxes, some contained items from three different rooms, but they were only labeled with one. Furthermore, some items were damaged during transport.
I relied on Google reviews... for my part. A leg of an antique piece of furniture was broken. I've been waiting to hear back from them for over two weeks, no news. The seat of a sofa was wrecked. To be fair, they had a truck that was too small and they pushed hard to get it in. A mover wasted his time. It's never taken so long to unload a truck.
We were supposed to move with three men, but two of them were inexperienced and clumsy. We had to pack all the furniture and blankets ourselves. The correct price should have been for one man, not three. We tried contacting the manager first thing Monday morning, but still haven't heard back. We're very disappointed with our experience.
On a pedestrian crossing, your movers don't have the right of way. Especially when a pedestrian is already well into the crossing. Not ideal, especially with a truck bearing your company's logo. Thanks. The driver was a young man with thinning hair and two other guys beside him. He drove through the Laval campus around 10:15 AM.
Hello Mr. Carrier, If you could call our offices at [phone removed] to receive a more detailed description of our truck and identify the driver, we would appreciate it. We have 25 of them. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. This does not reflect our moving service.
Their movers broke my wall, especially my island, and permanently stained my armchair, but they never wanted to compensate me. Which is unfortunate, since I've always respected the rigor of the boss, Mr. Dignard. Avoid if you value your furniture and don't like employees under the influence of substances.
They refuse to move my refrigerator without a liability waiver. You pay for three men, but only one works for the last 1.5 hours. Don't expect a call back if you complain. There are better companies out there.

My wife and I live in Vancouver and had to move a number of paintings from Quebec. These were large paintings (e.g. 4'x5') and had sentimental value. Monette were respectful of the strict condo rules at the pickup place and packed everything carefully. The packages arrived in Vancouver early and with no damage at all. I would recommend them without hesitation. They offered pricing for our 500lb load, which was reasonable - particularly since other firms would only quote for 1000lb minimum loads. Great firm...
