Did you miss the part where I mentioned they told me someone would reach out in 24-28 hours, and then noone responded after 5 days so I had to contact them again? I wanted to ensure i came back to provide a review. I moved on 12/1/2024 and unfortunately went with MOOvers because of their high rating and last minute desperation to find movers with a license that my building required. I still think about it to this day as the individuals who who showed up to my apartment LATE to simply unload a u-haul that my dad drove across state lines complete a solid 1 hour of work.

Please Please read lower star’d reviews. I’m convinced all of the 5 stars are internal employees for a higher google rating. Will absolutely over charge you. I was charged $990 for a studio sized move. No couch, no dining table, no coffee tables etc. Just a bedroom set. When I made it to the new location 45 minutes before them I called to ask and was told they’re “possibly on lunch” when it was time to pay I realized they never paused the clock for their personal time. Please beware of this company.

Hired this company for a full move within the city. They stolen a few boxes with some unreplaceable things. My intuition told me not to tip them at the end and I found out why. They had stolen from me. Shameful to have to spend money with a company that doesn’t do anything to correct the problem with their employees. I will make sure I tell all my friends and family about this experience. Who knows what may happen. Just sad.

Terrible service!!!! Arrived 4 hours and 44 minutes late. I told them I have 20 boxes two beds and a counch to move. The mover comes and says we only told him three boxes, the admn called and confirmed 20 boxes is what we told them. I dont even have 20 boxes, in total I over estimated. He said we he don't know about no beds and I clearly told her we have two beds. Not worth it find someone else.

The movers themselves are great but admin is terrible. We fully described our possessions and even overestimated. They underbid to win the contract but then at the end charged 40% more than the quoted price including additional for another truck and the time of the mover to go get the truck despite a full description of everything we had in our apartment.

The movers and packers were great, only issue was they gave me a price to move a 1 bedroom apartment and to move a sofa via stairs. On the day of the move, they added $200 and they hit me with over $200 of fees and materials I did not ask for. End up paying over $400 plus over the original quote and it was just loaded a uhual.
Troy, It appears there is a discrepancy regarding the initial estimate of $690. We wish to clarify that material costs were detailed in the "Notes" section of your original Estimate and were projected to be $150. We are pleased that the actual material expenses were below this amount.

I highly recommend MOOvers Chicago. We moved cross country, and they were extremely patient and helpful with the planning and preparation. Staff is pleasant and responsive. All calls were quickly returned. The men were efficient and careful when packing. They arrived on time, and nothing was scratched or broken. There were no extra fees. Estevan, Luis and George went out of their way to accommodate our needs and to ensure we were completely satisfied, and did so with a smile. Great company!

I just completed an interstate move from Chicago to Milwaukee. It’s been the most Stress-free move I have ever completed. Richard and Greg were a god send. They were extremely careful and well prepared and made sure that no damages were made on the way out or on the way in. If you want a moving company that has great prices, go above and beyond for the customer and have great tips on moving and how to arrange your apartment. The inventory process is simple and organized.

Victor and his crew were professional, efficient, and kind. We moved within the city of Chicago but had a lot more stuff than we realized. Victor made sure that everything was well packed, protected, and quickly loaded/unloaded. One of our less friendly neighbors blocked the spot which had been reserved for Moovers. This did not impede Victor. They parked a bit further and got our things loaded quickly anyway. We have almost finished unpacking our things and have found everything has arrived in good shape.
