Move for Less LLC

The WORST company to go to for moving. They attach hidden fees they don’t tel you on the phone. My movers showed up 4.5 hours late to the job and broke my brand new night stand, Mugs, scratched my bed frame, and ripped my suitcase. Some of those had sentimental value because they were from my mother before she passed away and now I can’t get them back. The customer service was awful and they kept telling me how great a company they were and yelled at me on the phone when I demanded compensation.

Move for less so many of my items they were supposed to safely securing for me in their storage In Bedford. I have two $2500 sleep number bed the bolts are not supposed to be taken out of the bed and they are all missing from one of the bed!! One bed still had the bolts assembled so I know that’s how it left my home! My couch was torn while in the possession of love for less! I am horrified by the lack of communication and care.

My sister moved from one building in an assisted living facility to as second building about 1000 feet away. The movers charged her $900 for moving a small one-bedroom apartment across the street... a two-hour job, at best. A little over a year ago she had the same company move her from a facility to another several miles away-- same furniture load-- for $300. She has a bed, dresser, two side tables, a couch, and a chair. Everything else was boxed or bagged.

This company was recommended to me- and I would NOT recommend it to anyone else. Subpar service and communication. Movers arrived in a U haul truck… they looked overwhelmed and were NOT prepared ( lacked supplies to pack and protect materials properly) was only concerned about the 2 hour deposit after arriving almost 30 mins late with an excuse of “not being able to reach me”. Refused to take 1/2 of my boxes because “they were not closed”.

I will NEVER refer this company to move anyone. This company took advantage of my mom in her time of need and overcharged her blaming the overcharge on the elevators being too small. Which led to time being extended. The elevators being small was no fault of my mom. At first there were two men present to start at 9:30AM, at 6:30ish another man appeared with an unprofessional aggressive attitude.

Their workers were really nice guys who worked hard but they lost a coffee table by accident I think. I owned a lot of stuff and didn't notice until a few hours later. I immediately emailed them about it and they went into some kind of you signed a blank piece of paper mode it's not our responsibility. Offered me no help. Took a week to put me in touch with the driver after constant requests. No apology. Not a penny offered or even sympathy. Insane. I can't imagine a worse experience.

When you hire this moving company and you go to your new home so you can show them where you want your furniture placed, make sure you don't sign the contract stating that they moved everything once they are done. Assume they did not move everything and make their movers wait while you drive all the way to back your old house and check. If I would have done this then I wouldn't be stuck trying to move a table and an outdoor umbrella along other things.

I am currently living out of state and needed them to handle the move for me. The move was scheduled between 2-4 and they didn't get there until 4:45. I specifically asked for them to bring boxes for my dishes but when they showed up, they had none. My friend who was overseeing the move called to tell me that they did not bring boxes and they planned on putting all of my dishes in my dresser and said "whatever happens, happens". When the movers dropped off my stuff, everything REEKED of smoke.
