Move Indy

After waiting nearly 3 weeks after writing Caleb the owner a detailed email with no response. I decided to post my review and email that I sent him and never heard back from. The one positive was how the crew was very respectful during the entire move. "I appreciate you reaching out. I was about to leave a review and unfortunately I can't recommend your company. Overall I was very frustrated and disappointed in the entire move. Was very unprofessional and paid a premium price for subpar at best results.

Very good sales team. That’s about it. Their quote was considerably higher than the others, but they convinced me that their services were worth it. On moving day, things quickly went down hill. I wasn’t at the old place when they got everything loaded. The mover called to ask if they should wait for me to return, or head to the new spot, leaving the door unlocked. I advised to head to the new spot and I would go lock the door behind them. When I arrived, much to my surprise, the door was wide open.

We hired Move Indy to pack and load our moving trailer for a cross country move. It was a 3 bedroom house with a full garage. We expected a professional crew who would take care of our items and pack them with precision and thoughtful placement. On the day, the crew showed up and worked very fast. They were working in multiple rooms at once and then loading the trailer. It took them the whole day to get it all done. They were very nice young men and we thought they did a good job... in the moment.

We originally chose this company due to the kindness and time they took to answer our questions over the phone. I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and disgust with the services provided by your company during my recent move. What should have been a straightforward and professional process turned into an exploitative situation that left me feeling extremely taken advantage of.

I don’t normally leave reviews, but I feel this experience is worth sharing. I needed a quick, smooth move and chose Move Indy based on their great reviews. The movers themselves were very polite, so I want to give them credit for that. My issue is with the pricing. I was quoted $900–$1200 for 3–4 hours. My final bill, however, came to $1700 for 5.25 hours.

The manager mike came to our home to give us a quote to have a swing set along with some big items in our home moved down the road to our new house. We explained how we would break the swing set down into 3 pieces and he told us it would be no problem to move just that he would need a 3rd mover and the biggest truck. On the day of move without even an attempt at moving it he said it was unable to be moved and then was extremely unprofessional when we pressed him for a solution.

If you have a small move, no valuables, are packing yourself, and don't need storage, these people seem to be ok for others. We were downsizing from a 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom, 2-story with a walkout into a 2400 sq.ft. house we built. To be fair, the crew that moved us into the new house after things had been in storage with Move Indy for 4 months did great. The crew who packed the dining room and kitchen in the old house did great.

move Indy damaged two pieces of my floor. I am a very understanding person and they told me it would be fixed. I waited two days and no one reached out to me. I texted move Indy and they told me they would have someone come out on Thursday. The man came out and told me one piece needed completely replaced. I asked him if we could replace all 3 pieces so it would match. He said that was fine. Two days went by and once again no one reached out to me. I texted move Indy and they told me they would come out on Monday.
