We used Bekins NW for a move of about 55 miles for a 2000 sq ft house. Unfortunately, it was an extremely unsatisfactory experience, and we would urge anyone who is considering them for a move to avoid them at all costs. They also operate under several different names (Olympic Moving and Storage), and we can only assume that it because the Bekins NW name has earned a terrible reputation. We called for a quote, which was completed fairly quickly.

I have used Bekins twice. One for a move to Washington state in 2016 and one when we left Washington state this last summer (2020). Both times, the experience with Bekins Northwest was terrible. Dealing with Bekins in Texas and in Missouri, they were great. it is strictly Bekins Northwest that is horrible. In 2016 when we moved to Washington, the unloading crew did nothing but complain, waste time, and not listen to where things went. There was one guy in the group that was working way harder than everyone else.

Terrible experience. The person they sent to estimate the size of truck we needed underestimated so we had to hire other movers to finish the job, even though Bekin assured us they would move us in one trip. Due to severe allergies we requested the movers not wear cologne. So one of them doused himself heavily in cologne. This made on of our household unable to participate in the moving. They overcharged us by $150, and also charged us for boxes they didn't provide to us and we hadn't requested.

Showed up late, were all in a terrible hurry, for some reason....rushed doing things. Didn't mark boxes as I had asked several times, didn't bring me all my furniture. Several items were broken, including a expensive Grandfather clock and a brand new TV. When I've called regarding these things, they took FOREVER to get back to me! Don't recommend.

John and Stefan did an amazing job of truly caring for our things and coming up with creative ways to build boxes to suit odd shaped items. Stefan was exceptionally friendly and personable. He was quick to honor instructions and help in any way he could. John packed like Edward Scissorhands. Intentional, focused, kind and proficient! These 2 men wrapped our things to perfection, just the way I like them done. John and Stefan are a killer team wrapping and boxing. I definitely recommend them both!!
