Movher

Second worst moving experience I have had. Only beaten by movers that stole a bunch of things from me durring the move. Movher's guys were 2 hours late to start with and only one of the two people that I was paying for did any work without being given instruction. The quality of loading skills is seriously lacking any kind of care or common sense. A number of my things were either damaged or destroyed by the way they were loaded and "secured".

Our issue was with a change of costs at the end of the job. My wife emailed the owner the day after our move to discuss the issue, and after no response after 5 days, I did the same. We have still had no response after 2 weeks. Our experience: we were able to schedule with Movher to unload a moving trailer of household items and were quoted that travel time would be charged for the trip, starting from the office to our location and back. We were quoted 15 minutes each way.

I contacted MoveHER for a quote after filling out their online form. When they called me, they asked detailed questions about my move — how many boxes, their sizes, and the stairs at both my current and new apartments. I explained that I have about 25 boxes (largest being just a typical large box), one flight of stairs at my current place, and three flights at my new place.

Summer of 2021 my company along with an attorney for the trust account for my client hired this company for cleaning of the home, moving and storage. My client ended up paying over $10k for all these services which is way way over priced. The staff decided to steal my clients mother cat and her kittens along with all the cat supplies such as a large tote full of cat food, cat toys and litter.

I chose this company because they're independent and local to Spokane—I like supporting small, local businesses. Unfortunately, this move was mismanaged from start to finish. I told them in advance about a heavy item (800+ lbs) that needed to go into the basement at the new place. Despite that, they sent a crew of only three average-sized guys with none of the equipment you'd need for something that heavy. It should have been at least a four-person crew with proper gear.

To say that we were disappointed by MOVHER would be an understatement. The crew of 4 arrived appearing to be exhausted. Within the first few hours one person stood on the loading dock of the truck for 20-30 minutes while nothing was being loaded. Another, stood chatting while a crew member took an hour to wrap our dining table and 6 chairs. Which disappointingly has the bolts missing because they were not wrapped up properly with the table. While a third spent 30-40min in the restroom.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Movher for a local moving. The company was recommended to me by someone I met. The moving process went relatively smooth except the office desk was damaged and a couple of scratches on the wall and ceiling. I was not happy with one of the movers' comments regarding the scratch of the ceiling. He said that the furniture was too big that he could not do anything about it. Further, the company charged the moving $490 more than the initial estimated cost.

At their price, I should receive great service. Instead, I received ok service and was charged too much time. They were on time, that was good. They were also polite. However, they were a bit slow and used masking tape on oak bookshelves rather than wrapping first. That soaks the oil right out. I have to oil the shelves before putting the books back up. They had a dolly, but they never took it out of the truck. They carried my file cabinet out horizontal. File cabinets are full of papers in folders.
