Moving Ahead Services - Cincinnati Movers

Quit texting my wife offering $200 to remove the review. My review is about the Cincinnati location, I can’t speak for the others. I’ve used moving ahead services in the past. The last time being in 2020 and they were absolutely amazing. (which is why I decided to use them again). Hired them to move us a few weeks ago and to say our move was a COMPLETE DISASTER is an understatement. For starters they showed up almost an hour late, which would have been no big deal had that been the only thing that went wrong.

Very unprofessional and no communication at all. We had a appt for 230p we get a text at 220p stating they running behind from another job and will be there within an hour here it is now well after 4 no one is communicating with us we call no answer and the driver is very rude whoever is the one now texting so our whole day to move has been wasted sitting waiting for someone to come and no one has came very unprofessional people and nasty attitude as well.

After showing up 5 hrs late the movers brought too small of a truck, had to come back in the morning and then left half of the items, forcing us to rent a uhaul to finish moving the items ourselves .the movers lost 4 boxes mysteriously of our items, broke items scratched walls also the movers overcharged there original quote to us by 800 dollars. I would never recommend this company to anyone in the future.

On the first day of this ordeal,two crew workers show,one in flip flops(never a good sign) After indicating what needed to be moved,these two individuals just lingered looking at the stuff,while i'm still loading in my vehicle. They finally start loading the boxes in living room.Next thing i know they are telling me they can't move the bed or coach because they are old and mention they could be unsanitary(there was some debris under the bed which I immediately vacuumed.

I contacted them to do a job for me and was billed by the hour. They came in and disassembled 6 cubical's and were going to take them to another location in the Cincinnati area. They were unable to complete the job that same day due to the elevator not working so they were supposed to come back Monday, they did not show. After reaching out to them they came on Wednesday to complete the move. They arrived at 9 and it took 5 men 7 hours to load 6 cubes onto the truck.

If i could leave less stars I absolutely would. Even though the movers had manners ect. They were not professional movers. They did not have the necessary equipment to move all the stuff we needed; nor did they move all of the things we needed them to move. Once they finished moving the things they actually did move, we found they broke an entertainment center after being told it was loose (they broke the entire top of it off).

Before you pick this company based on internet reviews, realize that they give $20 discount to make a review before they leave. I'm changing mine now after I talked to people about a typical experience with a moving company. They sent three teenagers (or very early 20's). Because they were 40 minutes early (without calling me first) I was busy clearing stuff for them to take out. I found them hanging out in the truck twice (one guy securing stuff, and the other two talking).

**UNPROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY - CANCELED 15 MINUTES BEFORE ARRIVAL!** I scheduled a move with this company for February 25, paying a $50 deposit. They claimed to be better than All My Sons, and I set the appointment a week in advance for an estimate of $780. On the day of the move, my house was packed and ready, and I received a call from a 400 area code at 8:45 a.m. The caller asked if we could reschedule because the coordinator was out sick.
