OHIO movers who loaded our items were super kind & patient as we disassembled a wardrobe and added items to the inventory unexpectedly. Super efficient, professional, and mannerly. Really appreciated the supplies they had available on the truck & the grace they showed us during our chaos! **UPDATE** Ohio to CA move. What we experienced in OH completely flipped by the time things got in our place in CA twelve days later. 12. 12days.

We worked with Planes Moving & Storage as the local agent for our United Van Lines move. While parts of the experience were strong, the execution during loading and delivery was disappointing. On loading day, the driver arrived hours late without clear communication and appeared unprepared to manage the process. Inventory—one of the driver’s key responsibilities—was not handled properly or consistently. Boxes were nearly loaded without being labeled, and the workflow was disorganized.

WAKING NIGHTMARE - ONGOING!! We contracted with Planes Global for our move from Grande Prairie, AB to Redding, CA. They are currently holding everything we own for hostage. We initiated our journey with Rosalia Kaminski who provided our quote. After discussion, we settled on services and price and paid half up front for pickup - $9,233. Then crickets. We emailed and called for weeks and never knew where our stuff was.

Our experience with Planes Moving & Storage, a partner of United Van Lines, has been terrible. Simply terrible. Unfortunately, we were fooled because Planes had a good salesman, but it went downhill from there. They broke our belongings and damaged our property, and Planes personnel throughout the move were indifferent and unprofessional.

Service was careless, a dresser and all of my clothing and items with it must have spilled all over and they did not tell me, as all of my drawers are broken and clothing in complete disarray, and covered in a black tar like substance. My brand new carpeting is destroyed from footprints of this tar like substance from one of the movers, who I WATCHED track and smear, and upon my saying something to him about it acted dumb that he did not know what I was talking about.

I chose Planes because I thought thst it would be best to use them, since Planes is part of United Van Lines. The move was from Cincinnati to a DC suburb in Maryland. Hindsight is 20/20. Should have checked out the Better Business Bureau reviews/complaints on Planes. 1. The crew who came at origination point seemed more suited for a simple local move charged by the hour.. I had a doctor’s appointment and left my son-in-law in charge.

I scheduled an in person estimate with United, as I knew our move was complicated. I had a large workshop with lots of heavy machinery that I wanted to be sure was fully understood by whoever we hired. The estimate was confirmed to be in person, and then on the day of it changed to virtual without asking me. I asked again for in person but was denied. The sales rep I spoke with, Randy, seemed to be up front and confident about everything.

In conjunction with a kitchen remodel, my husband and I refinished our home’s hardwood floors. We rented a storage pod from Planes. My primary point of contact at Planes was Alisha Harmon, Senior Move Consultant. For the pod rental, I gave a very detailed itemization of the items to be stored. On Monday, April 28, 2025, Ben from Planes delivered the pod.
