To owner response: I don't have the wrong company. I have the right company. You should not force people to write google reviews before checkout (while still paying for moving time - something I realized afterward) with your employees standing over the customer watching, in order to grant a discount on basically undisclosed costs. You removed the owner's rude response to my original review and now are just being dishonest. Bad policy, bad response, bad practices. ----- Great packing and attitude.
This begs the question: why the fake name?
I had a small move two weeks ago; however, I was still dreading it. Moving Buddies did a great job though, and made it all easier than I expected. Elena (coordinator) and David/Manuel (movers) were all great. David knew the processes and was very professional. Manuel was happy and respectful to work with. I know I will need to move again within a few year and will totally hire them again. Thanks! So sorry to have to post an update (July 2021), but the worst of all situations just happened...

Very unprofessional and unresponsive. They just didn’t show up, wouldn’t answer the phone, and refused to refund the deposit, which thy finally did after we insisted. Would never book again.
I'm not sure who you are ma'am, because you are not in our customer database. Therefore I can't respond to your alleged claims.
They showed up in an Enterprise rental truck. I suppose they couldn't afford to get their own logo printed on their truck. This makes it a bit tricky to know when your movers have arrived. They started charging me from the minute they arrived. Most movers will charge you when they actually begin the move. I had to wait for them to get their equipment out of the truck and ask me some questions before they began my move.
Alex I’m sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with our service and this is also the first I’m hearing of it. If you had called and expressed your concerns to me with could have resolved them somehow.
YOU HAD ONE JOB. We hired the moving buddies because of the good reviews we found here. Unfortunately for us, we didn't get the same experience. Aside from they were an hour and a half late, they lost that one box containing important documents such as my paper work and a small box filled with 2 of my hard drive and a bunch of flashdrives (memories from 10 years ago right there).
Still have not seen a police report or civil suit about this. False report.
They sent out two guys one who couldn’t speak a lick of English. They up charged our move every way they could. A job that was supposed to take 7.5 hours took 10 hours. When they broke our coffee table that we’ve had for years the boss told us they will repair it and call us when it’s ready to be picked up not replace it even though their website states they’d replace anything that’s broke during the move.
We offered to fix your coffee table it was an easy fix, you refused and hung on me and didn't allow us to offer another resolution. All of our crew members speak English and the 2 men that moved you broke their backs getting it done and they didn't receive so much as a "thank you" from you.

We received very prompt, polite, and friendly service. Elena was very prompt in making the initial contact following an online request for a quote. She was knowledgeable, and helpful, and her follow-up was very efficient. We also were in communication with Jim on the day of the move who was also very friendly and helpful. He kept us informed of when to expect the movers and offered an outline of the process for the day. The movers, David and Manny were excellent.

Moving Buddies far exceeded my expectations. They final bill was well under the quote. The two movers were extremely courteous and very professional. Although my toddlers were running around and making there job harder they were very nice and playful with my sons. They came prepared with all equipment and supplies to keep all my belongings safe and damage free.

I am certain that most people have had challenges with movers. From showing up late, breaking items, overcharging. I am certain that many have had challenges with movers either moving slower than a snail or moving so quickly that you tense up thinking your items will be damaged. I am certain that many of you have dealt with the "office" of a moving company and then have dealt with the "crew" the day of the move.

Moving Buddies made my move so simple and easy from start to finish, that they make me want to move again. I requested a quote, spoke with Elena, was asked for some photos, and I received an extremely detailed and extensive quote. It listed what would be moved, the address, what was covered, insurance, I mean everything I could need or ask for was included in the quote. The communication was excellent from start to finish. Constantly kept in the loop and sent reminders about my upcoming move.
