Moving Connections

It was an awful moving experience and made it way more stressful than if I had rounded up a bunch of my friends to help instead. The lack of professionalism was actually insane. I've never yelled at anyone before and I did over the phone to their supervisor and once again when, said supervisor, showed up to assist and diffuse a situation between one of the movers and a pedestrian. The police were actually called. I could not even believe it.

I think and hope what I experience was an isolated incident. I hired 2 men to move me from my studio in DT SLC to about 10 minutes away. Booking and confirmation went smoothly. Day of move was not great. - Given time period for arrival was between 1-3pm. No problem. I get a call at 9am saying they'll be at the apartment in 30 minutes. Though this was far from ideal, I was able to make it work. I'm not sure most people could though. - I live on the 4th floor and they parked the truck on the street.

We had them move items from a house in Draper and a house in Riverton. They charge $90 an hour for 2 people which is reasonable. Be aware that they may pad their drive time estimates. They call themselves a full service moving company but that is not very accurate. They showed up to my Riverton home with barely more than a screw driver and a hammer. I had to run to Lowe's to get a torex bit so we could remove the refrigerator door. Some of our stuff wasn't boxed so they shoved in a box with no caution or care.

I recently had a move and was not impressed. The guys showed up 1/2 an hour early and took multiple smoke breaks. When we got to the new apartment building there was a moving truck for another tenant already there. My movers waited in their van for half an hour when they could have easily begun to unpack. They said it would take too long to bring the stuff up in the elevator, so they left half of my furniture and boxes in the parking area and my friends finished bringing everything up.

I chose Moving Connections based on the high number of positive reviews they had on Google. Unfortunately, my experience did not match their ratings. If I were selecting a moving company again, I would not choose them. We moved virtually the same stuff that we did one year earlier and these guys took 3 hrs longer than the last crew. At $135/hr, that means they cost us $400 more than the other movers we used. Their crew didn't have much hustle. Two guys worked at a slow pace and one guy worked hard.

One of their guys stole my speaker and my Roku!! Also they kept bugging my mother for tips after she tipped them!! ABSOLUTELY WOHLD NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS ARE THEIVES!! I searched and searched and never found them. It was one of the last few boxes to be loaded. I feel like just because my mother lived in a nice neighborhood they just thought I was some spoiled brat. I had come to visit her to help her and in turn got stolen from. I am beyond livid!!

Not reliable, they leave when move is not finished, trucks are so small and rundown, no care for your furniture and home. A total disaster. Save your time and money and never call them
