New City Moving

My furniture is ruined and an expensive lamp was broken. Was told I would be contacted by claims department and that never happened. Called the supervisor during my move regarding my troubles and after the supervisor called the crew, the one guy confronted me asking if we have a problem. For what I paid I ended up having to help assist in unloading and ended up with more damaged items and physical pain than the cost was worth!

DO NOT USE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE. I have never had a more unprofessional or dishonest customer experience. Our moving sheet very clearly stated that we required packing materials to move our kitchen items. The movers showed up very late and without any packing materials. They stated they could not pack up our kitchen because the management team did not inform them that moving materials were needed.

If you want your moving day to start late and end up not finished, then please by all means use this company. If you want your stuff hi-jacked on their truck, and refuse to unload (when working by the hour) until you pay then by all means, call them. If you they didn’t finish the original job and still want to give you the run around about finishing the job, by all means, give them all call. It’s your move. I personally would go with the people I called to clean up All My Son’s lack of failure to deliver.

Keenan and his crew were great: punctual and efficient. I give them 5 stars. But I do not recommend All My Sons as a moving company - the costs are exhorbitant. Moving my belongings (I live by myself in a 1-bedroom) cost $1,000. I moved into a storage unit. There’s no way it should have cost this much for a 2.5-hour move. This was fully double what the original quote was when I spoke with a representative on the phone to make the reservation.

I am very unhappy with the service I received. One of the movers was great (the newer one to the company), but the other one was rude and disrespectful to me as a client. Additionally, a big item of mine was broken by one of the mover the one in charge who was being rather especially careless and rude by the end of the move. I was very surprised by the quality of my move especially after having positive prior interactions with your staff in the planning process.

Poor communication and ten weeks later still waiting for a $130 refund for being overcharged. Crooks :( They also came up as local to Aurora but they are an hour away (which the customer pays for their drive time) and they subcontracted on the day. The movers were great but the company is corrupt.

This is specifically for All My Sons Chicago 2. We did not actually have the pleasure of moving with All My Sons because they told us a day before our move that they would not be able to send movers when we needed them… so move cancelled. I will say this below but it’s very important knowledge so I will say it here too: We were then left in the situation of trying to find movers on the last day of the month (July) and move in on the first of the month (August) in Chicago.

We have used a variety of movers in the past and this was THE WORST company by far. Do not hire them if you actually want to move when you are scheduled or if you care about customer service and honesty. They called us the morning of our move at 9am (we had a Saturday slot from 12-4) and asked if we could move on Monday, offering no incentive or apology. We said no because we work, and we had reserved this date weeks ago. First red flag.
