Nicolosi Moving & Storage Inc

Showed up 1.5 hours late in a Uhaul truck that couldn’t fit all of my stuff, even though I told them moving from a 3 story to 2 story. Took 6 hours despite the fact that we had no appliances and I personally disassembled and reassembled all of my furniture and had a large majority of all of my stuff in the garage. Took a 1 hour lunch and only took 30 minutes off. They broke an item and hit the walls in the original house.

I was overcharged for my move. They agreed to repay the overcharge of $300 in 2 payments. However, one of the checks was returned for insufficient funds. I also had several items that were missing. It appeared that some items were removed while my boxes were in storage . They refused to take responsibility for any missing items. My adjustable bed was put together haphazardly and doesn’t work properly. On the scheduled date of my move, they called at 9 a.m. to let me know they would not deliver as promised.

The 3 man team spent an excessive amount of time/hours playing tetris trying to make everything fit in a truck too small for a 2 bdrm condo. They ended up making two trips! Damaged my bed and a leather chair by not wrapping. Left my patio belongings claiming they would go back to get them the next day but never contacted me, never followed up and never retrieved them! I lost my security deposit from the place I moved out of! I had to pay full price with no recompense for the damages done until I filed a claim.

I see that they have a good start rating. Maybe it's well deserved. I can only speak for the horrendous job this moving company had treated our possessions. By the time we went through our belongings that had been moved from California to Arizona we were devastated. They disassembled cabinets that were not made to be disassembled and literally tore them apart. Catastrophic damage. Cannot be fixed. Broke a leg of a 50 year old desk along with it's frame. Catastrophic damage not repairable.

Our move with Nicolosi Moving was terrible and I would not recommend them. They did not take care with many of our items even though we specifically asked them to take care on certain things. They brought nothing to protect our wood floors and put moving blankets down at our request but still damaged the floors by dragging furniture. They also damaged furniture that was not wrapped in blankets, even though we asked them to wrap them in a blanket and not just plastic wrap.

My mother, who was a recent widow, hired Nicolosi moving to pack up her home of 30 years and move her belongings to a storage unit. I was first very pleased with the quality of work the Nicolosi's did moving my mother out of her home. However, as a few months go by and we begin to unpack everything from the storage unit, I notice several items missing totaling over $1000 in value. When I realized these items were not in the storage unit I called Nicolosi and provided a list of all items that were missing.

While working with Jack Jr was pleasant, overall results were disappointing. Company was hired to pack my house and load a U-Haul. Several issues developed: 1. Even after surveying the house and taking notes. Jack's estimate was not close. Final cost was 35% over the estimate. 2. During packing process, Jack spent a lot of time on the phone talking to the office or crews at other sites. This was time I was paying for. a. While most furniture appeared to be well wrapped, the bottom of the legs were exposed.

Editing the review. I hired a 3 man team because time was the issue. one guy stood around a lot not doing much, a lot of milking time and wasting time. People coming in and out with one thing in there hand, while loading. I was busy packing other things. It took them 20 mins to get to the storage which was 3/4 mile from the old house. During the drop off I start moving as much as I could out of the truck and into storage. As they were going slow again.
