My move with this company was disastrous. I was told if I packed my own house that they would be a discount and I packed half the house and receive any kind of discount. Movers broke valuable China picture frames, etc. the person that signed me up lied to me never got back to me told me he would call making adjustments to the bill that I paid thousands of dollars $13,000 something like that and that never happened, they gave me some kind of app.

This should have been a 5 star rating, but I can’t. The packing and loading/unloading went smoothly. BUT, we ended up with a Bose sound system that worked perfectly before it was packed and loaded, and no longer works when it was unpacked. We paid for the full valuation insurance for instances just like this. I submitted the claim once we were fully unpacked (as you can only submit one claim). Our claim was denied because there was no external damage to the boxes noted.

Mrs. Shieh: We appreciate that you are frustrated with the claims process, however we will take this opportunity to point out the following: 1. Items packed by the client are not covered specifically because the moving company does not/cannot know whether they were packed correctly. 2.

Overall a little unsatisfied with our moving experience. We were quoted at 3k which was on the higher end for us but we hired them regardless since they were referred by a family member. Movers showed up on time and did a good job moving stuff from our old house into the trucks. They did take a lot of breaks here and there which I didn’t think anything of at first. My new house was 12 minutes up the road. They arrived and began unpacking.

I can give you a “stay away” warning for Olympia Movers in the US Northeast. They “handled” (read: completely bungled) my packout for Switzerland this week: (1) not COVID-19 friendly: I had different people every day for five days, and they would work other sites in between (for example, T was at site A on Monday, with me T/Th, and site C on Wednesday and back at A on Friday) - so I (and husband and kids) was/were directly exposed to 20 and probably indirectly to about 80.

First and foremost we would like to take this opportunity to apologize. There were several issues outlined that could and should have been managed better. This was a significant project in terms of scope and complexity, and the client communications and project oversight did not meet our standards.

we contracted olympia moving & storage in boston (MA) for our move from winchester (MA) to toronto (canada) in july 2022: the experience was bad to worse and there have been too many inane emails from a clearly inexperienced administrative staff and then the actual packing up by a subcontracted crew messed up with many of our stuff and several pieces of antique furniture was broken during the drive from boston to toronto...; we paid a large amount of insurance (an insurance company that is located in and…

The salesman Chris came to our old house and quoted the move then doubled the cost after our stuff was already put into their storage. They also put my shotgun into a closet at their office and forgot but finally found it a month later and delivered it but with broken stock. Accidents are expected during a move but the exorbitant cost was a shock so I filed claim for repairs on the light furniture damages and the repair contractor did a cheap and sloppy job.

My move last summer that was so dreadful that as a new summer move season approaches, people should know. One day was scheduled for packing and late in the afternoon the two packers decided it was the end of their work day, even though there was much more to pack. Their response as they left was, “The movers can finish packing.” Outrageous. Olympia sent over two new packers the next day, but I also had to pitch in packing.

It's hard to put into words how terrible our experience was with Olympia, but felt it was necessary to share so that others will not go through what we did. The day started off poorly with the movers arriving 30 minutes late, without notifying us that they were running late. Next, one of the movers smelled strongly of marijuana, and that smell permeated the house we were moving from. This is extremely unacceptable!!!

Mrs. Murray - thank you for your taking the time to leave us feedback about your move. I'm sorry the move didn't meet your expectations, nor ours. We're never happy when our customers aren't more-than-pleased. You chose to move with no Replacement Value Protection (Valuation).

Olympia Moving & Storage is fantastic! I've used Olympia for two moves, each including putting things in storage for at least a year with them too. The company is outstanding--all staff members I've ever worked with (office and movers) are responsive, efficient, clear, careful, and friendly. Moving is inevitably stressful, and knowing I could count on Olympia to provide realistic estimates, to be on time, and to respond clearly to many questions made both moves far less stressful than they would have been…

Ease every step of the way. We had a multi-stop, multi-state move and put it to the professionals. Olympia proved they were the professionals the whole way. First, we did a video walk through of my old house looking at all the items. It was an easy process while talking through key points. Once I got the quote any questions I had were quickly answered including why it's just an estimate as things change. Before the move the website and online tools helped keep my sanity.

Olympia is by far the best, most professional, courteous and hard working company. Moving is not easy, the scope of tiring, back breaking work involved can be easily underestimated. They arrived on time, the guys hustled the entirety of the day; carefully wrapping our furniture and items with protective materials and mapped out everything we had in their heads in order to pack everything in the truck like a perfect puzzle.

We hired Olympia Moving and Storage to move from our home to an apartment. I could not have been happier with the services provided. We were not able to schedule the move until a week before settlement and Ryan Hegarty, General Manager, fit me into a very busy June schedule. I felt very comfortable hiring Olympia because of Ryan's consistent communication. Our house is located down a steep hill making it impossible to bring a truck down.

Bill, thank you for sharing this great experience you had with your move! It makes us so happy when our customers call all our team members out by name for going above and beyond for them. That is the experience we strive to provide! We wish you all the best. Regards, Ryan & The Olympia team
