I chose this company because of all the great reviews, but unfortunately my experience was nothing like what everyone else described. Everything started off fine, but once it was time to unload my belongings at my new place, the pace changed completely. The movers began moving extremely slowly, carrying boxes one at a time, standing around, and playing around instead of working efficiently. Since they charge by the hour, it felt like they were intentionally dragging out the job.

Deceiving company that will send 3rd party movers to move your belongings. They will break your belongings and not take responsibility for it. Do yourself a favor and go with reputable company that will stand by their name if something does occur. Go with a company that is fully insured as this company has only liability insurance and will not fully cover your items that are broken. Only go with a company that uses their workers that are fully background checked for your move!

I called Trae to report that I am missing a glass shelf to my curio cabinet. He answered the phone when I reported it to him. After that, he has screened my calls and refuses to call me back. Extremely unprofessional. DO NOT ALLOW THIS COMPANY TO TOUCH YOUR BELONGINGS!!!
We used the packing service, they were great, showed up on time and did a wonderful job packing our belongings. The movers were supposed to show up at 8am the next morning, by 9am they were a no-show and no-one had called. When I called I was told that two of the movers hadn’t shown up but they were on their way now. At 10am I called back and was told they were still waiting on one of the guys to show up, but they would be there in 30 mins. At 10:45 they still hadn’t shown up so I called and cancelled.
READ before booking!!! I called many days in advance to book for a move day and she booked me for 12-5pm window, and the lady said that the mover will call (at 11am) on the day of to confirm arrival time. However, on the day of, I waited until 11:30AM to call them to see when the movers are gonna confirm. I called them 12 times (for 3 different phone numbers I found online) - all go to voicemail. Then I get a text message from the mover at 2pm saying they’ll come around 5-6pm?!
Maybe I am bad luck, the guys came out to do my moving is not as I expected. They kind of dragged time over, slow on everything, stop and stand to chat with each other, showing phone content to each other, And installed my dryer incorrectly. It cost me over a thousand and with everything stacked in one room for me to carry them over to each room and install it. Yes I ask them to leave it there because if I let them put things into each room, it may cost me 1000 more.
Not happy with the crew I had. Non stop complaints about where items had to go. Its TX...homes are large and have multiple levels. I got attitude when stuff had to go to higher floors and they still didnt follow directions. They did not take care or pay attention when loading boxes in the truck or my home. Sooo frustrating and of course the dispatch did not care at all.
Broken Tv screen Scraped table both brand new $3000 value in damages . Missing Weedeater missing drill . Un necessary Wrapping boxes with plastic wrap to make more hours lingering , unacceptable

Trying to find a mover in Houston is hard- because there are a lot of companies to choose from. I recommended Optimus Moving Services to my mom based on Yelp reviews and said a prayer hoping they don't embarrass me and get me chastised for choosing a bad company. Ha ha! Optimus Moving Services replied within 15 mins of sending the request for a bid via yelp. They answered all of my moms questions over the phone. The movers arrived on time.
Updated Review: I used Optimus again to move, this time from a two story home to another two story home, and I had the same great experience as last time! The movers are super efficient. When someone gets paid by the hour, you worry they’ll drag their feet to get paid more but that’s not the case at all here. It blows my mind how fast they’re able to move stuff, even when a good portion of it was heavy furniture. Also great customer service from the owner, Juan. I will always recommend this company for movers!

If you are looking for movers.. DO NOT look ANYWHERE else!! I’ve had some good and bad moves in my day but I’ve never had such an amazing customer service experience like Optimus. I was able to book my appt easily via yelp, I chose an 8-9 am window and got the confirmation text 2 days prior. Antonio called me the morning of to let me know they were on their way.. he was going to be there for 8 am.. you never know with window times so I was so happy to hear they were coming right at the start of the arrival window.
We only have praise for Optimus moving services! We initially used Optimus to handle our residential move from Bullard, TX to a local storage facility in May. We hired Optimus again this month to move our belongings into our new home in Richmond. Our experience with Optimus was 5 stars from start to finish. Trae was prompt when returning calls and answering all our questions and he made scheduling very easy. Both packing and moving crews arrived on time and utilized their time quite efficiently.
