Pack It Movers Katy

I do not recommend pack it movers. When they got to the house they refused to unload the truck, costing time, until I paid them in full. My husband was in route with the cash. The gentleman repeatedly was questioning me when he was going to get there, because they said they could not start unloading the truck until I paid them in full for time not completed. Then was told towards the end of unpacking everything left in the truck had to be left in the garage.

Hired these guys based on reviews, clearly they are bought or fake. Got two young guys who apparently didn’t really know what they were doing. I was told I needed to pay an extra $40 to protect my furniture, yet other companies I’ve used have never charged me to put a blanket over my furniture much less damaged my furniture. In the end when I looked at my furniture, I see my leather couches ripped.

Do NOT use this company. On April 24th the movers were supposed to arrive between 12 and 4pm. At 4pm the movers had not arrived and I called to see when they would arrive. They stated they would call to see where the crew was. Anthony, the manager, called and to apologize and that they would reschedule as a “priority move” the following day between 1-3pm. Again they never showed and said they would not be showing up. I was livid!

Anthony set me up with a move-out date and requested a $50 deposit. He said the deposit would be refundable as long as I gave them 72 hour's notice. 4 days before the move, we had to cancel the move, as my finace's company decided to pay for my moving costs. I explained the situation to Roger on the phone and was informed the deposit would not be refundable, and is never refundable- regardless of the cancellation time frame. Once I asked for his name, he started to back-track.

DO NOT use these guys. $50 deposit and $119 an hour with a $99 fuel surcharge even though the storage unit and apartment are 2 minutes from each other. We agreed because we only had 1 small couch, 2 dressers, 3 small TVs, 1 bed and 1 bunk bed that had to be dismantled. If I wasn’t out of town celebrating my birthday I promise my 120 pound 5’ ft self would’ve moved it in max 2 hours. Anyway, long story short it took them 4.5 hours and we got charged an additional $35 because they had to use some tools.

I hired Packit Movers last week to move from a 2 bedroom apartment on the 3rd floor to a house in Katy. I was told they would arrive between 8 and 9am. At 9:15 I called the office to see when they would arrive. I got an answering service who told me someone would have to call me back. The 3 man crew showed up around 9:30 (I didn't get a call back from the office until about 11:30). I was immediately told that they don't move flat screens and I would have to do that on my own, which I was perfectly fine with.

I secured Packit Movers with a security deposit to move my furniture from one house to another on December 26, 2015. During the move my granite coffee table was broken. I spoke with movers who called their supervisor who at the time said to have the movers bring the table top in to and they would pay to get it repaired. After calling them for 8 days finally I i spoke with someone who said they had repaired it at would bring it to me the next day. When the table top was delivered the repair was horrible!!!!!

We have moved apartments every year for the last 5 years and have never had issues with movers until hiring this company. When I first booked a month prior to our move, the owner apparently put it in his personal calendar instead of the shared calendar. This meant that the workers did not even know to show up to move us. Of course we didn't know this until after waiting all day. When we called to find out what was going on, he apologized and offered to drop the price from $80 and hour to $70 an hour.
