Packhorse Moving

I would never recommend this company. Every aspect of the experience was poor. I am going to list the issues with this company - THE MOVERS STOLE A PRESCRIPTION FROM A CLOSED CLOTHING BAG. We thought putting certain items buried in a clothing bag would be safe, but no they took it. Which means they went digging through personal belongings - Careless about your belongings and house. Broke several pieces of furniture and GOUGED, not just scratched but gouged hardwood floors.

DO NOT RECOMMEND, especially for large volume moves with decent pieces of furniture or a piano. Untrained, careless, and ill-equipped, they do not protect the home or furniture with consistency, and they do not cover any damages to the home. The standard valuation of 60 cents per dollar is based on their standard of furniture weights, which is nowhere specified in the contract.

BEWARE! I wish I could have left a more positive review, but my experience with Packhorse Moving has been incredibly disappointing. While the movers themselves were polite, the company’s failure to provide the proper materials—specifically the TV boxes we had rented—led to significant damage to my electronics. Our TVs valued at over $700, were damaged during the move due to the lack of adequate protection. To make matters worse, the response from the company was less than professional.

Showed up late. Severally damaged two pieces of furniture less than one year old - a dresser over $2000 and a custom desk worth $1000. When I asked what happened the response was "we probably hit a bump in the road." Did not use packing materials, used the shrink wrap I had bought for something else, did not secure items in truck, dropped items as they were carrying them out of my house, and carelessly took apart certain items.

I am very disappointed with the service we received. Multiple pieces of furniture have paint marks and the wood was chipped. Our box spring cover was ripped and we were not informed. The movers were going to leave without informing us if any of the damage. They out the grill grates and knobs in the grill cover with got grease all over the inside of our grill cover. Our couches usually recline without issues and now the leg rests have to manually be put up without hitting a button.

Hard workers-Absolutely! But when one of the movers broke the glass on the fire box as they came off the elevator (witnessed by a neighbor who reported it), they didn't own up to it. The lead said neither of the two helpers knew nothing about it (seriously???), so I was offered $12 despite the cost to replace it w/labor came to $57. So who's being dishonest here?

I had a terrible experience with Packhorse Moving and would not recommend them to anyone. One of the movers showed up clearly under the influence and reeking of marijuana, which immediately made me uncomfortable. I had trusted them with access to my home, and when I returned later, I found the garage door wide open, the back glass doors unlocked, and all the lights left on—completely disregarding my instructions and basic safety. At the new house, things didn’t improve.

This Packhorse moving company movers are so rude. My neighbor hired them to move. They parked their truck which partial blocked my driveway. My neighbor has the corner unit in a private street which they has lot of empty street space for them to move their truck not to block my driveway. I asked 3 different men nicely for 3 times not to block my driveway and they still wouldn’t do it. Your company needs a better training on how to proceed your moving business.
