We used Peak for our move from Charlotte to St Augustine. They sent one of the owners out to the house for an estimate. He gave me an estimate of $5,500. Including packing. I accepted. We left them about 5:00 pm on the day of move to start down to FL. They sent a truck that was way undersized and left 30% of our belongings behind.
Mrs. Wolfe, We reached out to you to discuss your situation and you refused any further assistance or to even discuss the matter. The owner did not do the estimate. The estimate that you signed was for moving services only and is based on weight. It did not include packing or materials.
I called several moving companies in Wilmington for estimates to move 200 miles away. The estimates were very close but Matthew was very nice on the phone and answered my questions. I’m a senior citizen and live alone. I booked early so I could pack well and label boxes by rooms. I knew I would not be able to move the boxes. I informed Zack owner partner I would be 30 mins behind him and Nick. So I gave each 20 dollars for lunch. Road construction and school buses did delay me a few extra minutes.

We recently used Peak to move us from NC to FL. Overall they did a fine job, their methods were similar to other moving companies. Everything was wrapped and protected. They even made suggestions to save us money. In working with them, you get the local company feeling, in that they were trying to look out for us and work with us. For example, we unloaded at two locations, but Peak did not charge anything extra for doing so. They were on time, kept in touch with us and were good to work with.

I was impressed that the Peak Moving 877- telephone number was answered immediately by a very professional and friendly and informed person. Matthew stayed in touch with us throughout the week prior to the move. Although it was a small move, everything went so smoothly and the two guys Terrin and Jay were an amazing and calm professional team. They both went above and beyond to be amazing and treated our heavy sofas and the furniture in our homes with the utmost respect and care.

Peak Moving and Storage was fantastic. Hands down the best moving experience we’ve had. The crew showed up exactly on time, which was a huge stress-reliever right off the bat. They were polite, professional, and genuinely careful with everything: wrapping our furniture properly, protecting floors and walls, and handling the fragile stuff like pros. No rushing, no damage. They were really easy to communicate with too; asked questions when it made sense and adjusted to what we needed without any pushback.
