DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We told them we were moving a king sized bedroom set with a dresser, bureau, bedside tables, day bed and boxes. They show up to my house over an hour LATE and then have the nerve to tell me that my stuff is heavy. How is it surprising that a bedroom set is heavy? They then give me an estimate of 5-6 hours, which was fine. Then in the second breath say it will be 7 hours when they hadn’t even started the job.

I used Philadelphia Movers to move to a new apartment. I already knew the quote was $520 as I was going to pay in cash, but I planned on asking the movers again just to be sure. When the two movers got home, they were asking me for an official charge of $680. I did not know where the extra $160 were coming from and they just said it was "for their tips and to ensure all my items were safe".

We hired this company to move us out of our apartment and storage unit, and into our new home. The experience was terrible. (1) the movers showed up late; (2) they told me that the owner doesn’t pay them enough and that we should tip them a lot in order for them to work fast; (3) the movers damaged our apartment walls; (4) the crew leader damaged the antique table and chairs I specifically called out on their contract before the move; (5) the movers asked me how much my apartment cost, and later asked how much my…

I submitted a quote request over two weeks ago and received no response. A week later (now over a week ago) I called and left a voicemail asking for more information to set up a move. Never received a call back. Not sure how there are so many positive reviews. I guess it’s a good thing my house sale just fell through or else I’d be scrambling. UPDATE 7/12: Despite putting this poor review up, I still never received a response.

If you want to take a chance on a company leaving you stranded then use this company. I used this company approximately 4-5 years ago and they were great so I gave them another shot. They literally lied about ETAs from the beginning. Smh. Called me when they were on their way and told me they would be there in 15 minutes which turned into over an hour. Once they arrived they kept looking at some inventory list they said they got from their company. I never even gave anyone a complete inventory list.

Absolutely the worst moving experience and I would give a 0 rating if I could! Two guys showed up in a truck with “ABC” written on it instead of “Philadelphia Movers”. Then they stared at my inventory, touched and poked my inventory, and spoke to each other in a foreign language for a few minutes. I finally asked them were they going to stand there all day or start moving my items. They ignored me and got on the phone with someone and spoke in a foreign language again during the phone call.

I hate leaving a poor review for this company as I worked with them in 2019 and had a great experience. I am not sure what has changed, but their service has declined significantly. First, I reached out for a move to take place on a certain date. After confirming, they unilaterally changed the date. My move was somewhat urgent, so I remained flexible. Then on the day of the move, they were unprepared for a full service move (including packing).

Booked them on 3.21.21 for a move on 4.13.21. From a 2 bedroom ground level apartment to a townhouse, 10 minutes away. I was told it would be 3 movers, 3 hours. Received a call on Easter 4.4.21 during dinner that it would be 4 movers, 3 hours. The move was done with the same furniture in March 2020 took 2 guys for 3 hours. The new place this year has steps, but the travel time between the two places is 30 minutes less, so offsetting imo.

What satisfied customers point to

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Second time working with Philadelphia Movers in 13 months. First off, they have really great customer service. Very quick response time via phone or email, and were super accommodating as I had to make several schedule changes. Today, the move when smoothly and quickly, with the team managing to maneuver my oversized items easily. Def plan to work with them again for my next Philly move (which will be soon). Great value.

I recently moved and found Philadelphia Movers on google. Their reviews were consistent over a lengthy time period so I decided to book. And I must say it was the best decision I’ve made. One of the drivers had a family emergency which they were trying to push my arrival time back. And if you’ve moved before, you know, time is of the essence. They were able to switch some things around to accommodate my tight schedule. They showed up on time, very professional, and handled my items with great care.

Broad Street Movers are, hands down, the best movers we’ve hired out of the 9 moving companies we’ve engaged in the past 29 years. From first quote to final delivery, these guys were polite, capable, on time, and ultra professional. We booked Broad Street Movers to move us from Philadelphia’s Rittenhouse Square to our new home in Northwest Washington, DC. They showed up on December 4th, efficiently and swiftly packed up our belongings and delivered them in DC promptly the next day.
