In their own words
I was very dissatisfied. James was very unfriendly and rude and I had no idea he uses a Tesla to tow a wagon behind him. Well he needed to recharge his car on the way which takes a half hour, he then blew a tire which took another 3 hours. I waited patiently for him. There wasn’t an apology but rather he counted my extra steps and charged me extra. Then broke my top step. It was a harrowing experience dealing with James but his men under him were very kind and helpful.
https://youtu.be/d9ojUxntgrA?si=qQ5E4qpL6vGoY031 Dear client, unfortunately the top of your staircase was made of tile, with poor craftmanship. There was a empty space under, tile can easily break if it can not be supported by cement under . so it couldn't handle the weight of your piano.
In response to your fabrication of what happened I have 2 videos of our conversation the day you looked at our piano which clearly states we wanted you to STORE it and give us an estimate for fixing. AT NO TIME DID WE TELL YOU TO DUMP IT. You did not invoice us for the extra time you were to store it and you did not call us to discuss further storage. Instead you took it upon yourself to dump it instead of calling!!! This was not an insurance scam.
We checked your record and we were there on 2019 nov to check their piano whether it was worth to store or fix and I frankely told you it's not worth to fix as its value is 0 after the inspection. So you changed you mind to dump it , instead of storing and fix it.
After seeing all the great reviews here, we decided to book James and his team for our piano move. He was 30 minutes late for the pick-up, but he called to let us know, which was appreciated. However, when he arrived with the piano at our house, he said we should have provided photos of the stairs before getting a quote (we had informed him of the stairs and quantity - he told me to measure the height distance, which I did.
first this person lied on the number of the steps on the pick up place. (i have a pdf file they submitted me as a proof and the picture of the staircase in the pick up place) they wrote 5 steps total in the pick up place. when I was there it was actually 9 steps.
I had a cheaper quote from a different company but these guys had such a great review, I didn't mind paying a little more to make sure there would be no issues. After the baby grand was moved, I turned the piano (as I always did prior to the move - my piano is on wheels) and the piano almost fell. The legs behind the piano were not fixed in place properly and the legs almost fell from under it.
this person blamed us that we putted the leg on wrong direction and that was the reason why their leg fell off while turning 180 degree and push it to the corner of the house by themselves.
I deeply value my piano and wanted to choose a reliable business with good reviews. I saw all the good reviews thinking this company would be the one. The dealings with the owner of this company were extremely poor, and unprofessional. All communication via email was poorly worded and in broken English. The owner gave me one date to work with and when I could not do that date he told me that any other date he would jack the price up by $150. Basically coercing me into one date that I could not do due to work.
https://local.google.com/place?id=[phone removed]&use=posts&lpsid=[phone removed] First check the link above that i posted on sep 5th. and you will find that you were totally misunderstood and how short tempered person you are. on that date i suggested, i have moving to parry sound.
I was quoted $250 + HST for moving a piano from Dufferin/Steeles to Dufferin/Lawrence. I then asked politely why the cost was not in the $150-200 range, since the move is all within that region on his website (between Eglinton and the 407, east of the 400). The reply I got was "I drew the maps, I know what it says". When I tried explaining the boundaries I was reading directly on the map, I was told "I don't want to talk to you if you're going to waste my time", and he hung up.
He gave me the bloor and dufferin intersection for the destination. Core downtown of toronto. Based on his information it is $250 plus HST. I asked the intersection twice. Even he admitted that he said bloor when telling to me the intersection. Now he is blaming me about the politeness?
This guy has NO FACE and probably he fakes all the reviews. After agreed on a date on the phone, he send the quote and changed the moving options. We have arranged the piano as a gift to my son for a special day. This guy changed the time 3 times. I told him he was not serious and he promised no more changes. Right after the pick up time he said he was not going to be able to make it. What a liar! Really?
I noticed you about an hour delay due to the hard moving before your schedule with discount offer and you declined . I cant even imagine how frustrate it can be if this piano moving was related with your son's birthday party so Its all my fault this time. I apologize.
DONT USE THEM ! WORST SERVICE EVER! All good reviews they gathered are fake. WORST experience ever to see how unprofessional, rude and uneducated the staff is- swearing at customers. Rasicist though miserably the mover he himself is a minority. what a shame! Swearing even in front of kids -should be fired by now. worst service ever in refusing to provide service unless money is ‘handed over’ first- gangster style!
Updated 2020 /06/02 10AM: I already asked google to investigate those review written by "zheng wang" and "lin bai" as they used same IP address. Google confirmed his previous review with other account from "Zheng Wang" was against their policy and erased his former false accusation and we will…

In their own words
James and his team were prompt (early, in fact). They were polite and communicated efficiently with us. From the pickup from the original home to delivery to our home, it was done swiftly but safely. The piano was well protected during the delivery. The team was honest/upfront with all details and made the process so easy! Highly recommend!
I had a wonderful experience with James’s team for my piano move. They were highly professional, handling the entire process with care and expertise. The team was efficient, respectful, and clearly knew how to move pianos safely. The pricing was fair, and I felt I got great value for their quality of service. Highly recommend James and his team for anyone needing a reliable piano moving service!
Thank you so much for your fantastic review! We're delighted that you had a great experience with our piano moving team. At Pianoinside.com, we take pride in providing safe, efficient, and professional piano moving services across Toronto.
Piano moving & storage This is the second time we've used James' services, and he and his crew continue to be outstanding. Taking very good care of the piano, professional, quick, and reasonably priced (owning piano is not a cheap business!). Last year, the guys took the piano down from the 2nd to the main floor within the same house due to a reno.
From start to finish, James and his team delivered a great customer experience. Initially, James was very responsive with all my email inquiries. On the day of the move, James and his team arrived promptly at the agreed upon time, and took great care and caution when moving my piano from the originating to the target destination. You can easily tell James and his crew were pros at moving pianos - they always knew exactly what to do when tackled with challenging corners or obstacles .
