In their own words
DO NOT HIRE PODS. They will make false promises they can't keep - every step of the way. I flew across the country to my new home to accept my POD delivery on December 19th, only to be told they "...didn't know where it was." No updates or information, despite multiple phone calls lasting HOURS. It took several days before they told me they could deliver it... after I had flown home for Christmas. And they offered me a $65 refund. More details below.

$8000+ spent; PODS FAILED US WHEN IT MATTERED MOST We chose PODS expecting a premium, reliable experience — especially after spending over $8,000. At first, customer service seemed decent. But that changed quickly once PODS made multiple critical errors and then failed to take responsibility or provide meaningful support. First issue: we paid for three locks. Only one arrived and worked. One lock never showed up. One didn’t fit. Their response?

Everything with PODS was great until they had possession of our filled container. We originally scheduled our POD to be delivered on January 19, but once we were already on the road and PODS had taken our container, the delivery date was changed due to their own mistake—they did not realize it was a holiday. The delivery was then moved to January 20. On January 20, we received an email stating our POD would be delivered between 7–10 AM.

These guys are dumb as rocks. When they brought us our first pod they said they couldn't put it in drive way cause our branches were in the way. Didn't make sense. We have one of the largest driveways even possible to have. Also I called to have them switch our order instead of bringing an 8foot pod I needed a second 16 foot pod. Spent an hour on the phone to arrange this just for them to completely disregard the change. I suggest using pack rat.

Avoid this company like the plague. We’ve reached out them to schedule delivery and for some reason they aren’t able to schedule it, but they can’t communicate why they’re unable to schedule it. After waiting on hold for hours, we called again a few days later again, the same story they’re not able to schedule it, but won’t communicate why they’re unable to schedule delivery. I’m hoping they will make this right and I can come back and update this review.

We needed space to store things while we had mold remediated in our basement and kitchen. Had a POD from Early November until mid April. Our stuff stayed dry and protected! This is so much better than a storage facility! When it was time to say goodbye to the POD, James was on time, friendly and efficient!
We're dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and we're delighted to have met your expectations, Mark! We can't wait to serve you again in the future!
A little bit pricey, but the service is amazing. The military moved us for 25 years, so we were in the habit of expecting dirty, rude movers who broke half our stuff and stole the rest. But PODS was completely different. Best drivers, clean and friendly and polite employees, easy access to the container and to our account, frequent and clear communication on timing of pick ups and deliveries. The container was clean and perfect.

Good experience in the end once we got both PODS picked up in Phx and shipped out of state. If you need to do a quick move this may not be the best option. Because of a scheduling error they only picked up one of the two PODS and we had to wait another week for them to pick the 2nd one. If you’re putting them in storage this a fantastic option. Through the Costco exec. membership you get an excellent discount of almost $600.

PODS is the way to go. Our driver showed up in the window given and gave us a call about 20 minutes before. They did a great job putting the POD right where we needed it in our driveway. Loading the POD was great (7.5'x7.5'x15.5' interior). It was weatherproof, the rubber floor was great, and the top letting some light through was helpful. They had hooks every four feet to tie things down as needed. I packed my POD super tightly and it made our 2,600 mile journey and 7 weeks of storage just fine.
