PODS Moving & Storage

After a positive experience scheduling and having my POD picked up from my former home, I couldn't have had a worse experience actually getting my items at my new home. The PODS driver refused to drop off my belongings (despite my new building confirming three times the location where previous PODS have been delivered). I spent all day on the phone with customer service, who did nothing to help except say that I could go to their warehouse and unload my belongings myself.

Absolute nightmare of an experience for a military family moving twice in a matter of 10 months. Last summer our full POD was delayed being delivered to our new home by 2 days. Not too bad. This summer, however, our full POD sat at the property we had to vacate for 6 days longer than it was supposed to (and we were notified of this delay by EMAIL ONE HOUR BEFORE OUR ESTIMATED PICK UP!) In those 6 days and many many hours on hold with PODS I was told every single day it was going to be picked up.

This is the most unbelievably terrible experience I have ever had with a company. Took a day off work for our unit to be delivered. The delivery guy came out with a pod that was visibly damaged on the truck. He did not wait for me to get my raincoat or phone to document what the pod looked like upon arrival, just dumped it and left.

I called to get a quote for an upcoming move. When I asked for some time to think about it and said I would get back to them, the agent was very RUDE. He told me I shouldn't ask for a quote if I wasn't serious and then hung up on me. Customers should be able to take time to consider their options before making a decision. Very DISAPPOINTING experience.

Worst moving experience we ever had. They are completely unreliable in terms of pod drop off and pick up. First of all, we spoke with them a month before to arrange rhe drop off but they couldn't accommodate the date we wanted because they don't work on Tuesdays! Then, they reassured us as long as we call a week before our desired drop off date, everything would be fine. However,although we reached out over 3 weeks in advance, we had to wait a whole week without our things because they didn't have availability.

Our experience was initially positive with the delivery and shipping going according to plan. The main issue was on the day of delivery at our destination, the driver said the dimensions of the driveway were inappropriate (about 18 inches too short) and he could not deliver the pod. Our house is on a dead end with no thru traffic and it was not reasonable that 18 inches of the container on the street would actually impede anyone's ability to access the public road.

The delivery and pick up on the first half of my move was great, but everything regarding delivery on the other side was awful. I spent almost 7 hours on the phone with customer service just trying to get someone who could actually help schedule delivery and pull a permit. I moved to a major city and when I moved I was clear I would be in the metro area but did not have an address yet. The long story short is it took about 5 phone calls - 7 hours total to get someone who could help with my delivery.

They are vary nice until they have your money. When i got my pod reservation from florida to rhode island i was told it would be 1 price split between two withdrawals. When i got here i set up the delivery online. Nothing was mentioned about a third withdrawal which made my checking account negative. I called them up and had it changed to the next weekend. I was also told i would have a $25 rebate taked off for the inconvenience.
