PODS Moving & Storage

I’ve been lied to consistently about the time of pickup and delivery of my POD. Reaching out to Customer service was a absolute nightmare. I’ve been hung up on before the call even starts a number of times, the hold times are ridiculous and a number of the reps I’ve spoken with were rude or unhelpful in any manner. I’ve even had reps fail to schedule my delivery date when they told me it was set. This caused weeks of delays the two times it was done!

Awful experience, was mislead by the movers they referred me to (Pack and Load) who forced me to get another Pods for my items, saying that there was NO WAY my stuff would fit in one Pods. When both were delivered realized I needed only one Pods, they had packed things so haphazardly that you could sit in a chair and read a magazine, and the other pods had a few boxes and appliances.

BEWARE!!!! DON'T ONLY READ MY REVIEW READ THE REST OF THE 1 STAR REVIEWS ON GOOGLE AND PODS. SEEMS TO BE RECURRING BAD SERVICE AND OVERCHARGING WITH PODS!!!! EASY DELIVERY AND STORAGE THAT TURNS INTO A NIGHTMARE ONCE THE POD IS PICKEDUP Everything was excellent from ordering the POD, having it dropped off, to and paying my monthly fees. However, when it came time for pickup, I was CHARGED $812.00!!! I had to close my account because PODS kept CHARGING me for little amounts until my account was DEPLETED!!!

Put this company at the bottom of your moving list. They got the job done so there's that, but there were problems all along the way and the support staff, while amiable enough, are not equipped to solve any problems that the company itself creates. Upon delivery of the PODs at the beginning, the driver delivered both in my driveway blocking off my car even though there were instructions to put one of the PODs in the street in front of the house. I was without transportation for the week that the PODs were there.

I called PODS because I figured they would be more reputable than mom & pop movers, boy was I wrong. For starters, the customer service rep who took my order sat on the phone with me for over an hour discussing her personal life, this would not have been that big of a deal, as I am in sales and don't mind talking to people, if she did not promise me an additional 15% off that did not reflect in the quote she sent.

TLDR; make sure you have extra days of padding to plan for customer service scheduling screwups due to offshore customer service. Drivers in Baton Rouge are polite, professional, and proficient with their equipment. Scott, my driver out of the Baton Rouge warehouse, was an amazing guy to deal with. I wish I could deal directly with him, and I’m sure the rest of the staff at the facility is too.

When we moved in the spring, we rented a #PODS to store our belongings. The delivery of the POD, the packing, and the pickup went well. Since then, it has been a nightmare. I tried to make the monthly payment on July 22. I had to change the payment method and kept getting an error message. I contacted PODS through the chat and was told I had to call in and speak with someone. When I called, it was a 30+-minute wait, and I was given the option to have them call me back by holding my place in line.

Do not use in the Baton Rouge area!!!! I would give negative stars if I could. Our POD was supposed to be picked up 5 days ago. After we called the number provided which is corporate HQ , they advised they were having difficulty getting in touch with him. This was the response we got for 3 days. On 9/28 I was advised we were scheduled for pick up between 8-11 on 9/29. Today is 9/29 and no one showed up by 11. I called back and now the window is 12-3 today.
