Two Men and a Truck Moving

I have used Two Men and a Truck in the past, but my most recent experience will be my last. My last move was in February 2018. The movers who completed my job were unprofessional, overly casual, inappropriate in tone and conversation, and caused damage to both the departing location and to my furniture and other belongings. They ripped the strike plate from the door as they were moving furniture.

1. The total cost was basically highway robbery because of how long the move took. It took Michael and Morgan 5 hours to move 15 pieces of furniture and 10 boxes. Only 3 of the items were even sizable furniture (couch, dresser, and chaise lounge chair). I was moving my belongings from a small 1-bedroom apartment to a storage unit. But because it took 5 hours and I had already paid a $100 service fee whatever that’s for🤷🏼‍♂️) my total coat came out to be $700.

I would NOT recommend that you use this company. I explained to guys upon arrival that I’m trying to keep this at a two hour minimum. On the walk thru I explained to the guys that everything I want them to move and everything I was moving on my own ,the driver I’m guessing the lead man his name is Devin started moving things I told him not to move then started to move extremely slow causing the other two men Anthony and Darrin in my opinion to do the majority of the work !

Unacceptable. That is how I would rate this service. I was not going to make a review after the service we received, but a week later when the money was finally taken out of my account it prompted me to post here because the amount taken out of my bank account was not the amount I authorized. I was estimated a move without a walkthrough. I did not know that this was abnormal as I have never used movers before.

Thought I was paying for convenience but seems like I paid to get robbed and furniture damaged. The movers showed up late and took an hour to bring the furniture to my new address and I had to pay for them waisting time then when I started unpacking I noticed some of my expensive custom jewelry missing. Then when I finally got around to hanging my tv’s because I’m an operator who works shift work and full time my brand new tv was damaged and they told me it’s nothing they can do because I had 96 hours to report it…

Save yourself the time, trouble, and headache by using a more reputable and responsible moving company. One star review is too many stars. Zero stars for zero confidence in this company is more accurate. Two Men and a Truck “lost” my patio furniture and has made zero attempts to rectify the situation. They wouldn’t even call me back after making them aware of the situation. The “GM” refuses to do the right thing here and will not allow me to speak to his supervisor.

Awful and very disappointing service from a company who's logo is "Movers that Care". We had a move scheduled for July 31, 2024, with an estimate of 7 hours, 4 men and 2 trucks; and a $350 travel deposit. One truck showed up at 09:30 and one at 10:00. The movers were anything but caring; we caught them sitting in the truck several times and even called their office to report the concern. We served them sandwiches and drinks since they showed up with none for the duration of the 7 hour move.

The Baton Rouge office of Two men and a Truck is a complete mess. Their drivers were inexperienced and did not make the day of the move easy. The way they communicated and their lack of preparedness only increased the worry and stress associated with moving. They were supposed to box/pack my house for me, but showed with no cushion/bubble wrap and none of the hanging clothes boxes I requested.
