Two Men and a Truck Moving

To begin, the driver was late, which made us miss the move in time I reserved. The two men that were sent were unprofessional. I had to help because if I didn’t it would have taken all day. Plus, they scratched the white walls of my apartment bringing items inside. Not to mention, the hidden fees are outrageous. You’re better off renting your own truck and getting two of your friends to help you move.

NEVER use this company to move your belongings. My wood furniture was scarred up because they didn't wrap it correctly, my sofa was torn in three spots, the sheet rock was damaged from my old apartment and my landlord took it out my security deposit, the behavior of the moving men was so inappropriate I called someone to come over because I didn't feel safe. I never got a refund and my complaints were dismissed without resolution. They are owned by Compass furniture so don't buy furniture from them either.

I had used them before to move everything from one house to another. They dropped two expensive pieces of furniture and acted like they could have cared less. They didn't apologize or offer to fix the furniture or pay to have it repaired. This place may be great for lots of people, but they were absolutely terrible and a nightmare for me. If you are looking for a moving company I suggest you hire a real one, and not these people.

I hired two men and a truck to pack up part of my home for a long distance move. I dutifully provided lots of supplies, markers, tape, tape guns. The gentleman arrived on time but first knocked into an electric pole with their truck. We gave them clear instructions on what we needed done and walked through the whole house with them. At the end of their slotted time they had done most of what we had asked and we parted ways.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would because of what happened during and after a move my 86-year old mother paid for...and for the way we were treated. Edit: The company has responded to this review claiming we tried to get them to pay a "significant amount of money" to prevent a negative review...this totally mischaracterizes what happened.

the movers obstructed the bike lane alongside civic apartments by parking there in spite of 3 truck lengths of appropriate space right beside them for over an hour after the time stamp on the parking ticket. this was during rush hour traffic. the phone number listed on the truck was listed partially as letters and therefore unable to be dialed from a solely numeric keypad on my cellphone. searching for local company numbers online returns several incorrect numbers.

Be careful with the estimation process of this company. They’ll quote you well below the competition, but after you’ve signed the agreement and scheduled a date, they’ll call back and tell you it’s going to cost significantly more. 50-60% more than the other quotes I received. Don’t fall for the bait and switch. Get multiple quotes and keep these guys honest. Edit in response to the company’s response. That’s not what happened.

They get one star because their office staff is very polite and helpful. Unfortunatley, their actual service is atrocious. I hired three packers to come and pack up my apartment. They spent almost two hours at my place and I’d say they “accomplished” about a half hour’s worth of work. I say “accomplished” ironically, because when they departed I opened up some of the boxes and was shocked to see what they’d done. They had basically just thrown items into boxes.
