POG Moving & Helpers

AVOID! Confirmed a 10:00am arrival, waited and waited, called, no answer. Uhaul had to be returned by 4pm so I was getting nervous because another days charge plus late fees was $150. No one called to say they were running late, so I started moving things myself (which I wasn’t supposed to do and ended up in the hospital with a torn rotator cuff because of this!) Movers finally showed up around 1:30pm, reeking like weed. I was moving into a storage unit down the street.

Zero Reliability – Paid in Full, No-Show, and Stranded in a New City I honestly wish there were a way to give this company 0 stars, because they don’t even deserve the 1 star I am forced to give them. A one-star rating implies they at least provided a service, but they provided nothing but stress and a total lack of accountability. I had an absolutely nightmare experience with Premier POG Moving and Helpers. If you are moving to the Phoenix area and need a team you can actually depend on, do not hire this company.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO MOVE! TL;DR They will give you a price for Loading AND Unloading (Empahsis on and, they quoted me for both loading and unloading) but the day before, will try to charge you, 2x or even 3x more to complete what you already paid for and agreed upon. Terrible Company with Terrible business practices, if you value your belongings and your dollar, Find someone else to move your furniture.

We had two trucks to unload, not knowing how long it would take to unload the trucks they suggested 5 hours (Hire a Helper). Since they are the “professionals” we agreed with it. They were there for 1.5 hours (two helpers) and now refuse to refund the total 3 hours of none used time. I’ve been playing phone tag with HIRE a Helper and POG moving. The company’s blame each other but refuse to do anything. Take your money somewhere else where they won’t take advantage of you.

* UPDATE* POG Moving & Helpers BEWARE!!!! We had a move scheduled with them on 01/16/24 and they ended up canceling our move after not showing up in the window of time that we were scheduled. They were going to be 2 hours late and then after being questioned they cancelled us. The owner will totally lie and try and turn this around onto the customer and use terms like God Bless You! Do not be fooled. If you have any trouble they will lie to get out of it.

Would not recommend. We hired P.O.G. Moving & Helpers to assist with unloading a 26-foot moving truck in Prescott after moving one of our clients from Colorado Springs. Our driver was onsite working alongside their crew, and we paid for the service in full upfront. During the unload, damage was done to our client’s hardwood stairs. As movers ourselves, we understand that accidents can happen. No moving company is perfect. What separates a good company from a bad one is how they handle things afterward.

It was a very hot day and they gave it their all, unfortunately it wasn't enough. When I first called, I gave a description of the move, thinking we would need at least four hours. When contacted the night before, I was asked again to give a description of everything I had, including an Electric bed which I indicated was extremely heavy. This seemed not to pose a concern to the person on the phone.

READ THIS FIRST!!!! Don’t use this company. Let me share my experience. The movers were supposed to show up at 6am and didn’t show by 630. I called POG and they said they would check on it. No call back. 650a called again and asked to speak to the office manager, I was told no. Movers finally showed at 805a. I called POG back at 855a to speak with the office manager. Pete answered.... what a gem..... told him about what happened and how I never got a call back.
