My initial interaction with Portland Move was pleasant & accommodating. However, it soon became obvious this is a inexperienced team who under estimates their project, and leaving the homeowners to pick up slack. When contracted initially, it was 4 bedrooms w/ 2 car & shop This was a pack/move w/ unload. Several times i was given the option of an unpack (declined) I was told 3 days, 1 to pack, 1 to load, 1 to deliver No show on packing day, no problem…we will bring extra guys Day 2, 2 trucks plenty of guys.
We had movers booked, they showed up late, came in, looked around, and then asked if we could reschedule because they had somewhere else to be!! What the hell!?!? They came up with another excuse saying it was "environmentally unsafe and we were not ready." We needed help moving the large items, sitting there, waiting by the doors. Were we supposed to move them out the door and down the stairs in order for you to help us? Really?? When my in law called the company, they didn't even know what was going on.

Just a quick update to my previous review about Portland Move - I recently used their services again and this is the third time I have received the most excellent service from this company! These guys are professional, polite and so hard working! They are so good about communicating with you and always do the best job moving my stuff. I just want to give them a big thanks and highly recommend these guys. If you have any moving needs, give them a call and you will be very happy you did!

I would highly recommend Portland Move for your next move! My family and I needed to move from our 2 bedroom apt to our new home just weeks before Christmas. Fortunately, Austin and the good folks at Portland Move quickly provided us with a quote and scheduled a moving date soon after. The moving team was professional, packed our items with care, and provided us with wardrobe boxes for our loose items ($25 a box). What a great team and a good price for the job - highly recommend!
I had a couple of things (like a 350lbs air compressor) which were very heavy and a huge headache to move, and to do it myself would be possibly dangerous or incredibly difficult. Stressing about whether or not a mover would be willing or capable to move it, I had called Portland Move and they said they can move it without issue. I had my doubts since some of the items were top-heavy and bulky, and they mentioned they could use a hand dolly and have moved much heavier things.

Austin and his team came to our rescue when the initial moving company we had scheduled to assist us in loading our belongings from our 4-bedroom apartment into a rental truck failed to show up. I reached out to Austin at approximately 10 a.m., and fortunately, he had a last-minute cancellation for that afternoon. He swiftly gathered a larger team, as we needed three people, and they arrived at our home by 1 p.m.
