Used Real Estate Movers for my move from Vancouver Island to Alberta. Communication was poor, they were a day late, the movers are nothing like what you see in their ads, one could barely speak english. Some of my items were broken and not replaceable so I didn't ask for anything in compensation. The movers were nice, super fast but careless. Packing 5 and 6 boxes on top of each other, on a dolly and dragging the dolly up the stairs... That's likely why some things got broken.
Anna Davidson, Thank you for your 2 star review. We never had such a negative feedback. I personally talked to you when taking your moving order and can tell you the following: 1) Communication was the same as with other customers . Please be honest when writing a revew . 2) The crew was not late.
Beware to have deep pockets! Beware if you go by Victor's word - it means nothing! I initially spoke to Victor and received an estimate of 4.5 - 6.5 hrs to move based on - 60 boxes, one couch, office, bedroom, a few cabinets. Basically a 1/2 house. On moving day Victor was 3.5 hours late - he didn't realize the night before was frigid temperatures and did not prepare his truck for it. It wouldn't start. His recommendation: Move me the next day. That was not an option!
Over the course of the last 45 years, we have used professional moving companies 10 times, with everything going smoothly to a reasonable degree. For our most recent move we chose to go with The Real Estate Movers based on their reviews, but sadly, we were extremely disappointed. We had items and walls damaged, and the floors in both homes were left in a mess.
George Glover,you sent your claim to our office 60 days after your move and started blackmailing for something we never did. You received compensation on what we agreed without even having a proof that those things had happened. Sir , you are a not gentleman.
On July 14th I was driving on westbound Memorial in the turning lane just about to merge onto shaganappi going north. One of Real Estate Movers trucks license plate A-0667 cut me off so hard I slammed into the curb and another driver pulled up to check on me. Upon inspection when I got home there is tire transfer on my front drivers side. So this driver hit and ran me and made no effort to stop or anything. I did call real estate movers and they took the license plate but seemed not very concerned at all.
Hello Clare, the driver looked into the mirror before making a sudden turn into the lane and he didn`t see you coming... Probably you were going at a higher speed if he didn`t see you and that was not `hit and run` ,so please, do not confuse people reading our reviews. This is not a criminal case.
I haven't used this service yet, but unfortunately I have known them because I got blocked by them when I was trying to get into my garage after doing groceries. Furthermore, I have a sick five-month-baby and they didn't move the truck when I asked, so I had to walk around two blocks to get home. That's absurd!
So we were booked for an appointment for a quote. They never showed up and when I called I was told I had the wrong number. No sooner hung up and they called back saying they forgot. If this is how they run a business regarding getting a quote I was definitely not using them for a move.
Della Huard, the appointment was between 12 and 2 . You called exactly at 12 . There were another 2 hours but you didn’t want to listen and hung up on me !! Here people leave reviews for the actual service and I believe our potential customers will not take , your allegations seriously.

I recently moved our stuffs from Calgary to Burnaby B.C and had the absolute pleasure of working with Real Estate Movers especially with Mr. Victor. From inquiry to pick up to delivery in Burnaby, their service was outstanding. Victor was punctual, professional, incredibly efficient, and very kind. He handled all our belongings with great care — not a single item was damaged or lost. What really stood out was their communication and organization.

Two years ago, Victor and his team packed and moved our household (of 26 years!) from Calgary (AB) to Victoria (BC) and did an absolutely fantastic job with that. On time, on budget, no breakage, great (great!) price, no surprise add-ons to the quote, clean, efficient, and even good humoured. Best move I have ever experienced! I would highly recommend Real Estate Movers. For this move we packed the boxes and they moved everything from one NW Calgary to another NW Calgary location. 1) Communication prior to the move was excellent. Victor visited the house about a week before the move to view the contents - thus he was able to provide a good estimate and know how many guys to put on the job. 2) The actual move was top notch.

I rarely give a full rating for anything. But in this case I will. I called and spoke with Victor, he was professional and to the point about it being a 3 hr minimum charge. Very reasonable, the price and the expectation. This call was a day before to check availability as I was suppose to have help and this was to be my back up plan just in case, not many would do this. Plan B always! Thank goodness I did as I was left in a bind.
