If you're considering a long-distance move, I strongly recommend sticking with larger, more established companies like Mayflower. This company was an absolute nightmare to work with. My booking specialist was unhelpful from the start, and it became clear very quickly that they don’t prioritize clear communication. When you’re moving, every detail needs to be explained—especially the fine print. But that didn’t happen here.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! At this point, it is not even about the furniture as they want to add $1800 in last minute fees which is more than the furniture is worth. They are immensely unprofessional, and we seem to only reach Sam repeatedly …
If I could give 0 stars I would. This company was recommended by someone and I’ve never had a worse experience. At first, Rachel was very helpful, but after our pick up got totally screwed up she and the rest of the company went completely radio silent. We are 2 days past our window and we cannot seem to get in touch with anyone- multiple numbers multiple lines multiple voicemails and absolutely nothing. I could not be more frustrated as we packed as if we were getting items in a timely manner.
I would not trust them. The day before my move the actual mover called and asked me what day I want my stuff moved to NC. He had a two week window and informed me they put everything in storage. This was never discussed when I booked it over a month out. I called the office and was told it was standard business and I should have known. Really? Sorry I’m not an expert on the moving business, I’m just a customer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I never wright reviews but this company should go out of business. I give this stupid moving company negative stars. Do not use them. 3 pieces of furniture came damaged, all my fragile boxes arrived smashed. Horrible customer service, they damaged more value in my possessions than I paid them. This entire service should be free.
My sister in law just posted about using this company during the death of our father. I have nothing to add. What a heartless world we live in where a dispatch operator named Sam says your father’s death has nothing to do with him or his schedule.

Roadway Vanlines handled our move from MD to CA, and overall the experience was very positive. Rachel was great during the booking process—easy to reach, knowledgeable, and always willing to answer questions. When I needed to call back closer to the move date, Alfonse answered and provided excellent customer service as well. The moving crew led by Damon was professional and efficient. They showed up on time, protected the house, wrapped everything carefully, and loaded the truck in an organized way.
We moved from DC to NC and had a really smooth experience with Roadway Vanlines. Sam helped us initially when we called the office and was friendly, clear, and informative. Later on, Karen followed up and made sure all details were confirmed, which gave us peace of mind. On moving day, Rafael and his crew were excellent. They arrived on time, worked nonstop, and handled everything with care. Furniture was wrapped properly, boxes were organized, and nothing was rushed.
I can’t say enough good things about Roadway Vanlines. This was my first time using a professional moving company, and they completely set the bar high. From the first interaction, it was clear that they value customer satisfaction and professionalism. The booking process was easy, and the quote was fair and accurate. On moving day, the crew arrived on time, fully prepared, and with a great attitude. They worked nonstop, yet carefully, making sure every item was protected and safely loaded.
Highly recommend Roadway Vanlines! Brooke helped me set everything up and was super professional and friendly. She kept me updated and made sure everything was confirmed ahead of time. The movers showed up right on time and worked nonstop. They were careful with fragile items and protected both homes during the move. Everything arrived in perfect condition, and there were no surprise charges. Great service all around.
