In their own words
I'm extremely disappointed with Rocky Mountain Movers. Instead of using the stairs to move a large item—which is why they were contracted—they forced it into our elevator and damaged the metal ceiling lining. Their crew chief said they'd get it fixed, but they never did. After repeated calls, I finally reached the owner, who said it was too late for them to do anything. They simply refused to take responsibility for what they did or for what they promised.
Thank you for sharing your concerns. This review relates to a move that took place over 18 months ago, with the reported damage being brought to our attention several months after the move was completed.
Not impressed. Movers were late to arrive at my apartment in Ogden and then took longer than expected to drive to Taylorsville. When they arrived one guy asked to use bathroom - can't you explain to your crew to take a dump somewhere other than the client's new home? And then they broke one piece of my furniture - a handmade, one of a kind! And no mention was made of a discount for this problem! Not happy!
Kathleen, I'm sorry this is the experience you had with our company. We strive to be very transparent with our pricing and given that you were moving from a 2nd floor with stairs, our crew moved quickly to ensure an efficient move for you.
Forty five minutes late. Scratched my floor and pretended like they didn't cause it. Dropped an appliance on its side. Workers were unfriendly. Only reason for 2 stars is I think I just got a bad batch because the office staff was great.
I'm sorry this was the experience you had with our company. We strive to always be on time but sometimes there are circumstances when movers arrive late. We did our best to move the larger appliance that we weren't anticipating with the number of movers that you had reserved.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

I recently hired a moving crew to help relocate my belongings into a U-Haul, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, they were incredibly friendly and professional. They arrived on time and wasted no time getting to work. What impressed me most was their efficiency; they handled my belongings with care while still managing to complete the job quickly. They communicated clearly throughout the process, ensuring that everything was loaded correctly and securely.

I needed 3 dressers moved at the last minute about 2 blocks from where I currently live at the last minute. An extremely nice person listened to my needs, was able to accommodate them (with some flexibility on my end as well which I would totally expect). I was very nervous because there was a lot of coordination of different components of the move to make it successful. Also I I have one flight of stairs in my apartment. Dressers are heavy. I was nervous.

We’ve used Rocky Mountain Movers several times and have always been happy with their work. This latest time we needed a glass table and chairs moved from Washington, Utah to Cottonwood Heights. We set up a day and time and it all went like clock work with the help of three of their incredible workers, Daniel, Logan and Teran. They were on time picking up in Washington, Utah, and arrived on schedule in Cottonwood Heights!

A great first experience using a moving company. I normally just move myself but decided to go with a company this time. Rocky Mountain Movers did not disappoint. They were able to give us an accurate estimate on time it would take and how much it would cost. The movers were friendly, respectful, and very quick. We ended up having a delay in our move in date and Rocky Mountain Movers worked with us with storage options. The.
