I am a veteran who has moved nearly a dozen times, including military moves, and I can say without hesitation that Royal Van Lines is the WORST moving company I have ever dealt with. Their communication is an absolute disaster. Contacting this company was a nightmare constant runaround, multiple phone numbers, no clear point of contact, and zero accountability. Getting a straight answer felt impossible.
These people are scammers. They requested a $500 deposit via Paypal which is odd. They do not communicate with the client at all. I sent the deposit on 05/11 for a move scheduled on 06/06 and I didn't hear from them at all. I reached out to them 2 days prior and was told, in broken English, I was on the schedule. That was suspect because they claim to be a veteran owned company. They aent me a quote for $1,800. I had already paid a $500 deposit.
Paid half up front 1491.00. with debit card.This was on a Saturday when banks were closed. On Monday when they deliver my belongings the bank was still closed for Holiday. payment was pending and would go through on Tuesday but they would not accept this and made me pay the full amount in cash or not unload my belongings. They said if it went through they would issue a refund for the 1491.00. Well My bank Wells Fargo and myself can't get them to even answer a phone call or return a message left.
I regret that I have to give any star at all. Royal Van Lines goes to messaging and never returns my call. They picked up my belongings May 30th. Today is July16. My family photos, an art collection and mementoes from my ancestors are somewhere that only thy know. I am 78 and living with a nearly bare apartment all this time. I bought a couch so I would have somewhere to sit and a bed so I would have somewhere to sleep, an expense totally due to the movers unethical mismanagement.
Worst company ever. They damaged my boxes, and my furniture and walls. They inflated my price three times, and it wasn't worth what I paid. 1 mover was so rude, we actually had an argument, the other mover who doesn't work for Royal, was the nicest guy. Will never use this company again, and suggest to others that they dont use Royal.
Terrible experience! My mom moved from NJ to Florida for retirement and this was a horrible choice.. Lack of communication, sent us in circles to find her stuff.. one day they said it was arriving tomorrow, next day they said still in nj …
