Simply the Best Movers

I hired them for the second time thinking the experience would mirror the last but I was sadly mistaken. They have caused over $5000 in damage to my floors in my condo which I have video of. They took over 5 hours to load a truck from a condo!! The condo elevators can only be booked for 2 hours which they were aware of.they were 4 hours late on showing up .., They then demanded I pay them before unloading - they said if I didn’t pay they would just take what was in the truck that was mine !!!loading and unloading…

Was moving out of a 2 bedroom, 1000 sqft apartment to an upper suite of a house. 12 hours!!!!! My worst mover only took just over 6 hours! Ended up with damage to the apartment we were leaving, fined by the strata due to going so far beyond the move cut off time, a dresser that is now missing a drawer, and other minor damage! My husband was the hardest worker on the moving team today! Two boxes at a time on a dolly steered by two movers. I would not see them for like 20 minutes!

I simply did not have the best experience. The movers were over 2 hours late, I had to reach out and ask if they were still coming. They were scheduled to arrive at noon, I called at 1215pm, was told they are running behind and would be there at 1pm, then I got a text saying they would be there at 130pm. Very unsatisfied with the service at Simply the Best. I was quoted 2-3 hours for my 1 bedroom apartment and they ended up taking 7. An hour or 2 discrepancy would have been understandable, but I ended up paying DOUBLE due to their poor time management and inadequate organization. I had everything disassembled and packed in boxes, ready to go. They were able to park in the loading zone right by the elevator so they really had no excuse to take that long.

I asked them to come out to estimate so no cost surprises on the back end. When they went over their estimated time by four hours and that it was my fault as I know my husband forgot to show 25 boxes but I also know that only took additional hour which I was fine with. It’s the other three hours you were over by. Then you blamed me again as you said you never got a good look at the amount of boxes in garage. As I had most the house in boxes in garage. Then on the back end because you don’t honor your estimate.

After seeing all the positive reviews, we hired theSimply best movers to move us from a 3 bedroom house into a condo. We were not happy with the experience. Two young men showed up on time & speak very little English. They were walking on my carpet & hard wood floors without floor protection, furnitures were loaded against each other without wrapping or protection, we had to tell them to putting padding in between, half of my stuff were left behind because the moving truck wasn’t properly loaded, the top half were…

I had high hopes for this company when I booked them based on other reviews, but honestly I was disappointed. First, they were 30 minutes late. I understand it was rush hour, but I only received a call 15 minutes after they were supposed to arrive, AND that was after I had called them to find out an ETA. When they arrived, I let them know that the new building we were moving into only allowed us to book the elevator for 2 hrs. This didn’t seem to have an effect on their speed.

Wow, what a disaster! The movers absolutely DESTROYED my items. I wrote an email expressing my disappointment in the move & the responses are disappointing & rude. 1- They cracked my furniture and the movers said it was their fault. I am not being accused by a sale team member that it wasn't their mistake after they already confirmed in an email. 2- They got mud all over my area rug. They said they "rolled" it up. If you removed the pillows from the sofa, how did you get to these without stepping on them.
