I am a regional property manager and a new resident hired this company to help with their move in, in Lebanon Indiana. I happen to be at the property when the movers showed up. This would’ve been the second time using this company. The first time I moved and stored my furniture in their warehouse, and had them move me into a new apartment a few months later. It was an easy, painless process. Since it was such a great process, I called this to set up a time for packers to come help me load up a rental truck. They gave me a quote, some advice on materials to bring to make it an easier move, and said they’d be there between a certain range of time.

Soft Touch Review We hired Soft Touch Moving in June 2025 to pack, move, and store our belongings in their “climate-controlled” facility for four months while our new home was being built. About 4 hours into the re-delivery of our belongings by their crew, we discovered that much of our furniture and personal property which had already brought into our new home appeared to be covered in mold. The contamination affected our brand-new home and required professional remediation.
We hired Soft Touch because of the in-person estimate process and the professionalism it signaled. We appreciated that the name didn’t include words like “hunk,” “junk,” or “college”—which, to us, implied a higher standard of care, experience, and accountability. Ironically, what we experienced felt very much like the kind of “hunk/junk/college” move we were trying to avoid. Truly the experience of packing was the worst. The team was young, inexperienced, and untrained.

I’ve moved many times over the years. These have to be the worst I’ve ever used. Left things behind and walked off the job at the other end, leaving things to be done when it was “ quitting time.” Just walked to the truck, sat there for a minute, and just left. Very unprofessional. When presented with pics of the shoddy work, the manager was very rude and unwilling correct or compensate. I was extremely disappointed and angry. Overpriced as well, esp given the poor quality of work. Very disappointed.

Edited to add due to the owners lying reply: We were stopped at the stop sign when this happened. He drove straight for us. The thing I like the most about his response is the use of "car" Wasn't in a car lol They just tried to run me off the road (while I'm at a stop sign) in Orleans. Got 2 kids in the back seat.

Do not ever inquire about using them for a move! They simply go on and on about how horrible they are! And they only move you with two men and a truck! No Dolly at all! So shocking. And weird. …
I am not sure what to say. I do not have any recent transactions with this customer. I am not sure why we would tell someone how horrible we are, but we have been in the Bloomington area for 32 years and do our best to take care of our customers.

I had a fantastic moving experience! Hunter and Shane made moving less stressful and put a big smile on my face. They were informative and completed my move ahead of the planned time. My entire experience with Soft Touch Moving & Storage was wonderful starting with the initial phone call to set up a moving appointment, to communication prior to moving, and watching the Soft Touch truck drive away.

As a repeat customer of Soft Touch Moving in Bloomington, Indiana, I cannot praise Ed & Ed enough. These professionals executed two phases of our family move, six months apart without issue. They were especially instrumental in the wrapping of valuable family artwork and making sure there were no damages. We will always consider Soft Touch our moving company! Well done!
These guys were great! Ed and Eddy showed up on time, were super friendly/positive about all the large items needed to be moved, and unpacked my Uhaul in 90min - they actually finished 30min quicker than I expected. Their prices were in line with the most affordable places in town and seemed to be the most friendly staff I talked with on the phone (which is why I chose them in the end). Would totally recommend, 10/10. Was nice to have movers who knew what they were doing, obviously had experience working together.
