In their own words
Joah moved a piano for me on January 7, 2026 during which time he broke off one of the casters on my piano and damaged my floors. I spent more than 2 months trying to get him scheduled to do the repairs, but in the end he never showed up. Joah finally scheduled a time on March 14th to come out and even told me he was just 20 minutes away, but then stopped responding to my texts and calls. Do not use this company!! I do not like leaving bad reviews and do not take it lightly, but I was left no choice.
I called to try to get prices from the owner & I believe he thought it was someone else calling so I was greeted with a very rude message. BE AWARE of this business & how the owner carries himself!
Update 10/7/2023: So SOTA responded to my review with lies in order to protect their scamming ways. It's been over a month since they stated in their reply that they would be refunding me the transportation fee: "The refund of the transportation will be sent to your bank, it can take between (3 - 7 BUISSNIESS DAYS NOT INCLUDING HOLIDAYS ) depending on your bank Thank you." Guess what? it's been more than 3-7 business days (over one month) and I still have not received a refund.
We are sorry to hear about your experience. Services were booked to transport an item from NC to NJ. Unfortunately, to my knowledge the help that was scheduled to assist had to be called in for work as some of them are 1st responders.
Whoever the Hispanic driver is, is very rude and has anger issues. They should be careful with what they do when driving a company car.

What seemed like a headache they made quick, easy, and simple. They were extremely careful with my furniture and appliances. And the owner was super transparent and polite. Even with my social anxiety I was very comfortable communicating any questions I had. Totally recommend this company. And not just for moving!

Needed some help moving furniture to a new place and I couldn't carry everything down the three flights of stairs by myself. The team was quick and repsonsive and gave me a good price. I felt a bit bad as I had them lugging furniture and a mattress down the three flight in 95 degree heat plus humidity but they did it quickly and efficently. The unloading was even faster with everything put back together in only an hour.

I hired State of the Art Moving to deliver a vintage airstream from central NC to western AZ. They were professional and great to work with from start to finish. From delivering a quote quickly, seamless payment system, & overall great customer service. We got our delivery moved quickly and received it on time. We’re very happy with our decision to go with SotA over the many other options that were available.
I would give more than 5 stars if I could! Josh is amazing! So is Tony! We had a wonderful time moving. Wonderful conversation! Lots of laughs. And super affordable! This is the first time I have ever utilized a moving company and I was definitely directed in the most perfect direction with State Of The Art! I broke my foot 2 weeks ago so I had no choice but I’m not going to lie…I was not too keen on moving my big, heavy furniture down a flight of stairs anyway.
