Save yourself the nightmare, pack it yourself--call someone else. Our family hired Steele & Vaughn last year to move our home and it was easily the Worst decision of my year. I brought my concerns directly to the owner, Bryan Jones, and he was combative, hostile, and accused me of trying to "steal his money". Some of the pieces of their work: -charged more than $1000 more than quoted -spend 2 days to pack, quoted for 1 -unloaded until 10pm on moving day. what a nice way to enjoy a new home!
After my moving experience with Steele and Vaughn, I wish I could give less than a one star. My husband and I always took very good care of our things. After he died, I decided I would move to Florida where I could just retire in peace. Now, I am just trying to put it all behind me and move on despite my painful experience with this mover. I have MS & hired them to pack up almost everything in my home.
Frustrating experience, they damaged several items but only told me about two of them. The other damages I discovered when settling in. One item they broke was a light fixture, they took a picture and told me they would replace it the next day. Never heard from them again.
So unprofessional!!!! Very rude!!! Even the man who calls himself the owner is aweful!! I hope I never have to cross paths with any of these people again!!!!

This is my second move using Steele & Vaughn. Dean was able to quickly get us an estimate and secure the best move date/time for us. Tim & Tim took care of moving some of our heaviest furniture down five (5) flights of stairs. They were quick, efficient, and careful. They arrived on time, and finished well ahead of schedule. What's more, they were friendly, communicated well, and took care not to damage the floors (thanks!). I would recommend S&V to anyone who is relocating.
I had contacted several companies and this one was by far the friendliest right from the first contact. I had Dean come to my house to give me a quote and he gave me tips to make the move go quicker (and cheaper since it's an hourly job), which I appreciated. Moving day was also the day I closed on my house and I was so nervous that something would go wrong but I lucked out. The movers Ron and Brian showed up on time and were friendly and worked quickly.
Based on the recommendation of a Greensboro friend, we contacted Steele & Vaughn about our move to Greensboro. Bryan responded very quickly with a quote after reviewing the contents of our Durham house and shop. Steele & Vaughn provided packing materials we needed as well as specialized containers for heavy tools in the shop. Blu and Jay arrived as promised on moving day and loaded up the contents of my shop.
I wanted to thank you and your excellent team.This is the second time that Steele & Vaughn has moved us. Our most recent move was from Bluffton, SC to Greensboro, NC. Your men Ron Smith and his partner Chris did an exceptional job. It was December 12, 13, 14, 2018. It was in the midst of a snowstorm here in Greensboro. Ron & Chris drove to Bluffton and did a superior job of packing and loading our furniture and belongings. The team arrived here in Greensboro on December 14.
