They will promise 1 day to pack, 1 to load. Show up 2-4 hours late all 4 days (yep) with a truck that's too small on day 2, and act surprised when it's full on day 3. They WILL NOT crate your sensitive items, as per their contract (with extra fees). They will unload your items at their warehouse, move it around, damage and lose items. They will load onto another truck and make this crew search for your items. You will be missing items, that are listed on THEIR inventory.

I wish I could not give any stars because they do not deserve it. Looking for a reasonable long distance moving company and found this one. A salesman, Matt Compton drove two hours to give my free estimate which came in the lowest then the other national moving company, Atlas Van Lines. The lowest doesn’t always come in as the better, trust me because that low estimate after signing became five thousand more which was money I had saved to use for my house after moving.

I booked this move in the Spring of 2020, and fully expected to move by June, which did not happen. On the day of my move, a totally different company showed up, they were farmed out for my move. I was NEVER notified until they showed up. If I had known, I would have declined their service, them. As it turns out, they lost (stole) a precious item, they did not indicate the numbers on the inventory list of items moved, so I don't even know if all property was received.

This company is a total joke! We had 4 movers, and one person did nothing but complain the entire time that they didn’t feel like being there, they were tired, etc. Upsetting to pay for their time when all they did was stand around. I literally had to start unpacking boxes from the truck myself. Next, they are priced higher than other companies, but aren’t worth a single penny more. You would expect better quality and service but this simply isn’t the case.

I don’t usually resort to social media, but I feel that I need to warn anyone who is looking to move or store furniture. DO NOT use Stewart Moving and Storage. Don’t just use my experience, check Angie’s list and Yelp as well as google...I wish I had. I would have never used them. We stored our belongings in their warehouse, which we thought was climate controlled...now we know it was not. It was “military approved “ climate (not sure what that means) but we had things melt so I’m assuming it got really hot!

I typically don’t leave reviews unless services are rendered either extremely poorly or extremely wonderful. Unfortunately, in this situation, services were rendered extremely poorly. As far as a “professional moving company” is concerned this is the first time in either my husband‘s or my over 18 years of military service that we have received such poor service from a “professional moving company.” There were no precautions taken in my home, which, yes, we own, to be respectful or professional.

One of the worst experiences of my life. We were quoted an 6-8 hour move time and it was more like 11 hours. One of the guys doing the move even told me "this would be an easy move" since we had so much boxed up. We're still finding more and more broken glasses and pitchers as we finish unpacking. The moving truck did not have a lifting gate which I thought in 2024 would come standard on moving trucks, this definitely held up the movers who weren't the fastest in the first place.

This is my 10th move as an adult, so I have dealt with several moving companies. I have never been more disappointed in my experiences than I was with Stewart Moving and Storage. The moving and packing of my goods was average. The moving team was courteous and timely, but kept trying to get me to cut corners both at the pick-up and delivery locations. There were several items that were broken during the transit due to poor packing, and in one case not packing it and just throwing it on the truck.
