We went above and beyond to show appreciation to the movers with coolers full of drinks and multiple pizzas . However , it didn’t matter - all of my jewelry was stolen. Shame on me for not securing it better and packing myself. I had people look into this for months to get solid proof - and the only pieces they couldn’t re-sell ( like monogrammed college rings) were paid for at lower prices and found on the online bidding website for the North Charleston Good Will!
Stay away of this company if you are not looking for headache. I have moved enough times in the past 10+ years to know I shouldn’t have high expectations of moving companies. But believe me, the Strong Men moving breaks all records in poor service and dishonesty. They were supposed to come early in the morupning for moving of my 4 bedroom house. They didn’t show up until 11:35. I called several times from 9 am to 10 but they sent me to voice mail. I even emailed them.
Mustafa, I'm sorry to see that many of your statements are just not true. The day of your move we were in constant contact with you giving you real time tracking of where our truck was as you called us every 15 minutes. Our crew did arrive at 10:00 a.m.
The movers showed up over 2.5 hours late. They didn't notify anyone ahead of time that they would be late, not to mention 2.5 hours late. They finally showed up with 3 guys instead of the 2 who were originally quoted. We had booked them to move my parents, who are elderly and disabled, to a retirement community. Unfortunately we live several states away and could not be present to assist.
So disappointed! Strong Men Moving in Charleston completely scratched up our leather sofa, displaced pieces of our dining room table, media hutch and etagere and displaced pieces to our master bed. They did not arrive on time and also left a mess of packing tape/supplies at the house after loading the moving truck. How hard is it to pick up behind yourself? Also, I specifically requested Strong Men Moving to bring a large TV box and they did not. They also did not bring any tools for dissembling larger furniture.

Do yourself a favor and call another moving company! If I could give 0 stars, I would! I had the worst moving experience right from the start. The movers said they’d be early so I rushed home from my walkthrough without unpacking my car and waited a good 45 mins for them. They arrived 15 minutes after our scheduled time. They sent 2 teenage boys that were not professional at all. It took them 2 hours to load the truck as shown in the picture.

We hired this company to move 6 pieces of furniture. This included two dressers without the drawers. They did nothing to protect furniture and banged it around with disregard. They barely spoke but a couple words but spent plenty of time on cell phone and walking the halls. They actually noted they were over the 2 hr mark by about 15 mins but company was generous and didn't charge extra. We believe they were inexperienced and could have done it quicker and better ourselves. Lesson learned.

Fantastic experience from start to finish. We had another moving company (undergrads) cancel on us less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to move. The crew at Strong Men made adjustments to their schedule to accommodate our move out. They wrapped everything with moving blankets and plastic wrap and packed both of our 16 foot pods carefully and with precision. A few weeks later they showed up on time for our move in. It was the exact same experience, great.

We had a really great experience with this company. Great price and very efficient, courteous, and kind employees who helped with our move (John, Dennis, Terrius, and Jamel). They were super thorough in their estimate which I appreciate because other companies didn’t take the time to stop by to visually assess our home/furniture, and as a result their home estimates were all over the map. John’s in-home estimate was spot on.

Can’t say enough great things about this company. We moved from NJ to SC and had all our belongings in three 16’ PackRat containers. PackRat dropped the ball over and over again. They didn’t call to let us know they wouldn’t be delivering out stuff on the scheduled day. We had earlier arranged for Strong Men Moving to help bring our belongings up to our apartment on the delivery day.
I had the worst day with my wife closing on our condo after we made a sale in one day and closing a few hours later our lender was not 100% ready for closing I called last minute before On July 3rd John and Chris waited over an hour and a half they should have left they stayed and knocked it out in the rain and all our stuff was safe and dry I’m very impressed with their professionalism if I could I would have given them more money their manager was very prompt and understanding I lost faith in everyone in this…
