In their own words
I used Suburban Solutions about 6 months ago with the first half of my move from my apartment to my house, and I am a repeat customer. I called for help with a last minute move, only to have Bobby reach out and essentially refuse my business. He said it was a "red flag" that I was moving suddenly and mistakenly gave my current address instead of the storage unit that I'm actually moving the remainder of my things to. He was intrusive, rude, and judgmental.
Good Morning Danielle and thank you for your feedback. We would like to clarify some things. You had reached out to Suburban Solutions on Saturday, 5/30 requested a move for Sunday, 5/31. I am not in the office on the weekends so I got back to you first thing on Monday morning.
I will say first that the packers and movers who handled my move were friendly and accommodating. The actual packing and moving, however, left a lot to be desired. The boxes were packed in a random manner with things from various rooms in one box. The boxes were neither labeled nor placed in the correct location in my new home. I’ve been here for 4 days and have not yet located the keyboard for my computer, for example. This was not packed with the rest of my computer equipment, which makes no sense to me.
My movers showed up an hour late and were very rushed the entire time. They didn't protect a brand new couch well enough and jammed it through the door, tearing it. They denied causing the damage and refused to take responsibility, similar to other posts on Yelp. In addition, because they showed up late, they were late for their next job. While waiting a few minutes for access to the loading dock at my condo they were very unprofessional to our building staff who were trying their best to accommodate them.
Bernie, thanks for your review and we apologize you didn't have the best experience with our team. We did arrive at 9:15am which is about 15 mins after our scheduled arrival window. We did contact you when we knew we would be late and let you know about our ETA.
STAY AWAY!!!! DO NOT use Suburban Solutions for your move in the Philly area. Quinten and Justin on the operations team were incredible rude with communication regarding my move. They postponed my move until 1pm due to the weather and then cancelled on me 4 hours prior as the weather was improving. They were unwilling to wait until 1pm and told me I would have to wait until the following week to reschedule. TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.
Thank you for your feedback. We do always expereince challenges with the snow. We do our best but wish we were more upfront and planned better for this event. We will do our best in the future to prevent any issues. We can do this for you tomorow but realize this may not work unfortunately.
I really wanted to like Suburban Solutions, but I can't recommend them. The reviews I read were great, so we hired them even though they were the most expensive of 4 quotes we received. We moved a 4bdrm home, 2 miles away. We were scheduled 2 trucks and a 6 person crew. It ended up being a 7 person crew and the 2nd truck was completely unneeded (but we still paid for it). The crew arrived on time, but the trucks would not fit up our driveway due to a low support bar.
I can not recommend Suburban Solutions. The scheduling went well but the move itself was done very half-heartedly. They came with uhaul boxes, did not label anything, tried to pack breakable items without packing materials. We had to watch their every move otherwise they would stuff thinks into whatever they could find ie lamps into a chest of drawers. On delivery they reassembled beds incorrectly and with the wrong hardware, which they had trouble finding. I had to disassemble everything.
Do not recommend this company! They were supposed to arrive between 11am-2pm but didn’t arrive till 2:45 pm. The crew were not taking enough care of the furniture, most furnitures are scratched badly. They were not good at reassembling or taking apart the furniture (picture of the couch base attached where they put the wrong part in). They were supposed to take apart a desk with top hutch before moving, but instead they wrapped the whole thing and were unable to move it out.
My grandmother moved for the first time in 50 years. She moved items that hold a lot of meaning for her and my entire family and these movers broke SO many items and then denied breaking things. All the company said in response is that there's a 500 deductible....First of all, these things are priceless! There's no care or feeling for items of sentimental value because it's not theirs, it's not their family so apparently that means it just doesn't matter.
Morgan, Thank you for reaching out to us. We understand your frustration as moving can be very stressful. We do our best to avoid damages but sometimes things do happen. Your grandmother (and her son) elected to pay for increased coverage that comes with a deductible of $500.

In their own words
We were moving a 2 bedroom + apartment from Ardmore, PA (suburban Philadelphia) to southern Sussex Cty, DE (Bethany area) with an intermediate stop at our storage unit. We had heard a number of moving company horror stories so we were a bit apprehensive. From our first contact by phone with Suburban Solutions, things could not have gone more smoothly. I'm sorry I can't recall her name, but she patiently walked me through each room to get an accurate inventory for the estimate.
I chose Suburban Solutions after doing a little research. They had the one of the highest ratings in the greater Philadelphia area. This was my first move from my parents’ place into a townhouse, and I felt confident in choosing them. Bobby, Breanna, and Jo were all very kind and responsive the whole way through, and I was informed of every anticipated cost. Very reasonable price for a three hour minimum with a small list of items.
Took me a while to write this review. Suburban Solutions completed a moving job for me on 8/22/19. I could not recommend this company enough. My fiance and I have experience with 6 different moving companies in the past 8 years. These guys were without question the most professional, efficient, and conscientious group we have ever hired. The project manager Lazaro arrived a little early to scout out the job, and Jean Marc and Kerry pulled in right on time.
I hate moving. Dread it. Don't like it. Run from it. My wife and I moved our family of four from Philly to the suburbs in mid-August 2021. It was difficult to hire movers. Suburban Solutions was the fourth company I called and they had availability. So I booked them. I was apprehensive about the quality of Suburban Solutions. Never used them before and my last minute call to line up movers smacked of desperation. But man, did we luck out! The three-man crew was punctual, courteous, and careful.
