In their own words
Worst experience of my life, I moved my dad from Boca Raton to Orlando and he had quite a bit of stuff and a piano. They showed up 2 hours late and the truck was too small, I called and was assured everything would fit, I asked if it didn't what would they do, they said it would fit. Three o'clock comes and the truck is fully packed and the piano wasn't loaded. One of the moving guys, who all by the way all were very good, called and their boss told them to unload and reload.
We used this company for our move from Miami to South Dakota and everything started smoothly.. The end results was a complete nightmare! The movers arrived to South Dakota with 2 lost boxes, and the items that did arrive many of them got here broken. I contacted the company and spoke to the manager, and advised her of the situation. I needed to know if they can contact the movers and check if my 2 lost boxes were still inside the truck.
Jenny, we're so sorry you experience with us didn't end as smoothly as it started. We do our best to make sure everything arrives to its end destination in great shape, and we apologize for the missing boxes and broken plates.
I contracted Summit Van Lines to move, store and then return my belongings from my Lauderdale by the Sea home on May 19, 2023. The salesman told me they have been in business for 30 years, they own their own trucks, storage facilities and are fully licensed, bonded and insured. He promised me my things would be kept safe. I trusted them. My items were returned to me on August 16, 2023. Kevin the main moving man, arrived with papers in his hand and announced, "Let's just get this out of the way.
Joanne, keeping track of everything we move is crucial, and we're sorry we didn't show it to you. We do everything we can to help if something goes missing, but we cannot always locate something we may not have moved. Please get back in touch if you'd like to discuss this more. Summit Van Lines
Our move with this company started off well. Sammy’s visit was professional, Katie was pleasant to work with, and the moving team, led by Tovaris, worked hard. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short. Days before the move, they called requesting full payment in advance since I was paying via Zelle. I refused, but it took a lot of back and forth to resolve.
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad to hear you had positive interactions with several members of our team. We understand that moving can be a stressful process, and we appreciate you taking the time to outline your concerns.
I used Summit Van Lines for a local move and a week-long storage in Fort Lauderdale and my experience was terrible. Sammy, the guy who gave us the estimate was very nice; however, I cannot say the same for Jennifer and the rest of the company. The movers that came to pack and move us out of our condo asked us for tips since the time they set foot on our place and they went through the agreement extremely fast.
Do not deal with this company. They will lie about everything to include their prices. At beginning of move when they are trying to get gain your your business everyone is so nice but once they have your belongings HOSTAGE you can speak to any decent person at this place. I have tried to escalate my issues and have gotten nowhere the manager states he's the owner one day and the next day states he has never said this.
I can't tell you how disappointed I am with Summit Van Lines. Initially their reps were responsive and made the process very easy. However, things went downhill once they picked up our items. Our materials ended up being delivered late, when we called they just kept telling us they were coming. Later we found out from the guys who actually moved our stuff that a driver had quit and they had basically forgotten about our items. Then when the truck arrived it was jam packed with stuff.
My wife and I used this company when we had a job relocation from Florida to North Carolina. We had them pack, and move everything. The problems encountered are so bad, the rival most any poor experience I have had with a company in the 15 years I have been in business. First of all, almost all the expectations set by the salesman were false. We found out that all the language in the contracts were contrary to what the salesperson explained on almost every point.

In their own words
I hired Summit Van Lines to do my move and they did a fantastic job. First, a guy by the name of Gerry came out to give me an "on-sire estimate. " Then, I was assigned my own professional one on one person, Shannon to talk me through the process as for how the movers are going to wrap everything, load the truck and etc. Shannon was Fantastic. She was there for me to answer questions, concerns, and so much more.
They stuck to their fair price estimate, showed up to load and unload as promised, on time. Loading and unloading were efficiently handled by their crew. Tavoris is a force beyond nature.
We're happy to know about your pleasing moving experience! Our team takes pride in offering efficient and friendly service, and maintaining our bottom line price is our commitment to exceptional customer service. and we agree, Tovares is the best at his job! We're always available for your needs.
Great Company. Great employees. Five stars all the way. I hired this company for moving a large 5 bedroom house with two floors and time restrictions by the Home Owners Associations on both properties. The moving to property was an apartment with an elevator to further complicate the move. Summit sent a representative who counted how many pieces of furniture we own and did an evaluation of the job conditions. He also inspected the apartment we were moving to, including the elevator.
We had a full service pack and move from Pembroke Pines to Bradenton, FL on April 6-7, 2018. Everything went perfectly, and this is not an embellishment of words, I sincerely mean it. Estimate was performed in person by Sammy who has 2 decades of experience in the field and was accurate. No hidden surprises or problems. Crew arrived 15 minutes earlier than scheduled on each day; they were very kind, friendly and a pleasure to have in the house.
Thank you very much for the review and recommendation, Maureen!
