Swift Service Men Movers

Why do I have to be the bad person with the negative review. I rented these gentlemen for a local move. I rented a uhaul truck. When 10am hit no one showed up. I tried calling from my cell phone, but the phone line was saying the line was no longer in service. Really strange! I tried three different cell phones and got the same message. I then tried from a local line and the phone number worked. The gentlemen I had spoke with had no answer and said he will check and call back.

We hired movers to move our furniture. It was a red flag in the beginning. Friday I received a call from the movers telling me they were at my home, my appointment was Friday it was Saturday, next red flag was we paid for two guys and only 1 showed up. So he asked us if he could go help out another guy and then come back with a helper that evening. We said no problem. They were cordial in the beginning and then they turned on us.

I would not recommend them at all, out of the 5 times we have moved they were absolutely the worst. When I booked I told them that they are going to need equipment and that I was looking for someone that would also disassemble furniture. They showed up with no equipment to move at all, and told me halfway through the move they do not disassemble furniture. Without equipment, such as a hand truck, they carried boxes one by one out to the truck. This obviously made the moving painfully slow.

They said they had to get to another job and had over another hour of time that I paid for. And no refund!! Terrible terrible

I've used these movers several times before and was always pleased with them. They were fast, efficient, and careful with my furniture. So when I needed to move last month, I immediately thought of them. However, the movers this time did not know what they were doing. They were not good at getting the furniture down efficiently, taking 2 hours to move about 10 items of furniture. Nothing breakable or fragile--we moved that ourselves, thank god. They were careless with the furniture as is.

I wanted to give feedback regarding my moving experience with Swift Service Men. I have used the company twice in the past and my experience was EXCELLENT! This past Friday my experience was highly disappointing. I spoke to Alneatha to set up the appointment and she was pleasant- I explained the logistics of the move- move from destination #1 and drop a few items at the apartment dumpster and move the remaining items to destination #2. At the time I was told that would be fine.

Swift Service is a super poor excuse for a moving company! Do NOT book these scammers! Several weeks prior to my move I schedule with Swift and was was asked about the sq footage of 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment, approximately how many boxes I would have and to provide a list of furniture, which is totally understandable.

Let me just say the staff from the over the phone customer service to the movers are awesome! This rating is in no way reflective of their hard work. However, the process in which they operate sets limitations on end to end customer satisfaction. My first move was booked based on information about the contents of the move in which I gave over the phone. (3bedroom home, loft, and items in the garage in which I considered a room by itself).
