I do not recommend this business. They helped me move my contents while my home was being renovated after a pipe burst. Upon moving back home, I noticed some damages. Their “insurance “only allows for 10 days. Since my home was still under construction, I did not move into my home within that 10 day period to notice the damages to my furniture. So when I tried to make a claim, they basically ignored my calls.
After thorough review of your move file, we have clearly communicated and executed the claims process, including associated state-regulated timelines. Having personally communicated with you regarding this situation, I feel confident that we have acted fairly given your decisions made regarding the…
Need boxes...don't waste your time!! I called and asked if they sell boxes. I was told sure we do even used ones. I arrived to purchase my boxes and was told they do not sell their used boxes unless you are using them to do your move. The guy there was extremely rude about the fact I was not using them to do my move... I have not even sold my house yet so a bit early in the game to be planning the move. I just needed boxes.
Terri, we apologize for any misunderstanding regarding the purchasing of our packing materials. While new boxes are available for purchase at the rates shared during your visit, all used boxes are made available free of charge for those customers who have reserved move dates with us.
I am active duty military and was unable to be there for delivery. So my elderly father, who struggles to move around to begin with, did me a solid and showed up to accept delivery. When the movers "finished", nothing was assembled as they were paid to do, they simply left. After I arrived home I noticed my brand new hardwood floors were severely damaged in the master bedroom. I notified the company, they sent me forms to fill out.
I have moved long distance twice previously for everyone's perspective. I have moved locally with professionals 4 times as well. So I feel that I have worked with a good amount of moving companies. We hired Armstrong relocation to move us from Chattanooga to Nashville. We paid for packing and moving to be handled directly by them. The move was planned to be done over the course of 3 days. The first day 3 men arrived on time as planned.
Heidi, I am sorry to hear about your move experience with our team and would like to speak with you directly to address your concerns. As Terri has discussed with you, please provide us with your completed claim form so that we may begin the claims process for your damaged and missing items.
I have moved 5 times in my professional career with several different moving companies prior to my latest move with Armstrong Relocation out of Chattanooga. I have always been completely satisfied. NOT the case with Armstrong Relocation & Companies. They picked up my household belongings and were to store them for just over a month till I could close on our new home and then deliver them to that new home. Upon delivery it was obvious they had damaged a couple bookshelves beyond repair.
Stewart, we are sorry to hear your move was anything less than exceptional. United Van Lines is currently investigating the missing items and will contact you when they reach a conclusion. Again, we are so sorry, as this is not the experience we want you to have with our company.
After an in-person walkthrough/estimate, they underestimated the scope of our move. What should have been two days of packing was scheduled as one day. All our belongings didn’t fit on the truck so now it’s another day and we are waiting in a home we have already sold for an overflow truck - with no clue when it might be here. And we’re hours from our get-out deadline and have to drive to a new state as soon as this is over.
Shannon, we are sorry to hear that your experience with Armstrong was anything less than exceptional. We would love to continue the discussion with you and work towards a resolution. Please contact the office at [phone removed].
I would never recommend this company. We had to temporarily store our household belonging for a few weeks. When our belonging arrived that was extensive damage to furniture, glassware, and majority of boxes were damaged. The employees they had recovering did not follow instructions on where to put things as well as exhibited a complete lack of respect for our stuff. We also had a lot of missing items. We had a very large claim to file. It took the insurance agent almost 3 hours to complete the assessment.
Vivian, we are very sorry to hear about damages to your items as we strive to make every customer experience great. While we understand you are currently working through the claims process, please feel free to reach out to me directly at [phone removed] to further discuss your delivery.
Most of my heavy pieces were damaged. My antique office desk, all 4 legs were broken and reimbursement was not sufficient to replace it. My entertainment center bridge was split and they refused to reimburse me for it because the secondary movers didn't detail the damage when picked up. So many goods were damaged, a few boxes missing and damaged looked like no care was taken in handling and storing my belongings. Parts were missing to reassemble my master bed and again no reimbursement.
Merlyn, we are sorry to hear that all aspects of your move were not completed to your satisfaction. At this point, we have done a full investigation of your move and successfully walked you through the claims process.

First let me say we have moved over 20 times in our married life, so we have realistic and experienced expectations of what we would get. We relocated from Chattanooga to Northern KY. Armstrong and its carrier partner, United, did a wonderful job. Our Chattanooga home sold much more quickly than we expected, so we had to scramble to find a moving company. We got two quotes and selected Armstrong, not so much for the price, but for Armstrong's reputation as being top quality. We were not disappointed.
Don, we are so glad to hear you had a great moving experience with our team! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and wish you the best of luck in getting settled into your new home in Kentucky.
Armstrong performed our interstate household move in an excellent fashion. Move was from Houston to the Chattanooga area. Critical success factors we saw from Armstrong were: 1) a thorough and detailed survey of the move requirements at origin (packing, logistics needed, weight estimate), 2) timely and effective communication from the Move Coordinator before, during and after the move, and probably most of all, 3) a professional, empathetic Driver who in addition to his driving expertise, had knowledge of and…
Pope, we are so happy to hear that you had such a positive move experience with Armstrong! Thank you for taking the time out to provide such valuable feedback, and to leave a 5-star rating!
We were so happy with the experience of moving my mother's belongings from KY to WI this winter. Armstrong (in particular Doug and Megan) were so helpful, communicative and reassuring. They asked the right questions and helped us to arrange a move that worked within our budget and our needed timeframe. The movers were professional, courteous of our home and belongings and even our baby grand piano moved without any issues or damage.
Allyson, thank you for the positive review. We are happy to hear that you had a pleasant experience with us!
I work for a large engineering company in town. Armstrong helped us move to a larger office. They were professional, showed up on time, flexible when my company wasn’t organized enough, and got the job done. I never heard complaints from the team members no matter how heavy the items or tedious the job was. We worked with 3-4 different groups of guys throughout the move and they were all great. Would definitely recommend them if you are moving your office.
Stephen, thank you for sharing your experience with us! We are always so pleased to hear of another positive encounter with our team. Thank you for choosing Armstrong!
