In their own words
I hate to write a negative review but I simply cannot recommend this company. We used them to move us into our new house from a 1 bedroom apartment. Like many of the other reviews below, we were quoted for a much lower price than what it ended up being (they only did a consultation over the phone and never came to our apartment for an estimate). The movers started out pleasant in the morning but things got worse throughout the day. They packed their truck and the workers disappeared on lunch for almost 3 hours.
Hi MW, I do not believe we moved you. I'm sorry you had a bad experience but I received no such call about any of the above accusations and I have no record of working with anyone with your initials in the past several months.
Do NOT use this company. I’m convinced they have their friends write their reviews. Go on yelp and you will see their rating is very low. I experienced the same issues many other people had: was quoted at one price but charged almost double, and many items damaged, I was quoted about $500 for one bed move, but it ended up being almost $1000, this is a move to a place within five minute drive, with very minimal furniture. The movers are so slow, and they damaged many of my furniture.
Used the "gentleman" movers in summer 2022 for our move. Was charged $4,500+ (after being quoted ~$2,700) for moving our stuff from a 2400 sq ft home to storage 20 mins away, 1 month of storage, and then driving the storage 10 mins up the road and unloading into our new home. Movers stole from us and the owner, Dave, denied that this could even be feasible and said he wouldn't believe it unless we "provided video evidence" - which is insane.
We’re sorry you had an unfortunate experience Lauren. We strive for customer satisfaction but it seems we failed to meet your expectations and our standards. Estimates are just that and sometimes jobs take longer than expected.
scam, not a real moving website. they have you call all these random numbers. this gives you a random number and then when u go on the website it has a picture of a truck with a different phone number on it and the website has you call a different phone number from the picture on the truck. its just really sketchy

The Gentleman Mover was excellent from start to finish. Coordinating with Matt was very easy as he was understanding, kind, and thoughtful, especially when we were dealing with a last-minute issue after a different moving company we were going to use canceled the day of. They are clearly a very organized company that has their process down and knows how to handle things efficiently, even on short notice. Matt stepped in and made everything work seamlessly, which took a huge amount of stress off our plate.

I 100% recommend using these guys for moving/unloading. To start, they were very accommodating regarding the uncertain arrival time of our POD that we wanted unloaded. We had an 8'x8'x16' POD with all our stuff (2 bedroom apartment) shipped from NM to Philly. POD only gives an approximate 3 hour window the night before it arrives, making it challenging to coordinate with movers if you want it unloaded the day it arrives.
