The Local Movers

I used Local Movers, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst moving experiences I’ve ever had. The first photo shows how my Upack trailer was packed before I complained (on a $1200 job), and the second photo is after they returned to fix it. I found the company via a Google search and scheduled a move for 8/14/2025. The job was to move my items from my apartment into a truck, transport them to ABF, and pack them into an Upack trailer.

MOVERS BEWARE!!! I have been in contact with this company with a moving issue. My sectional sofa is less than a year old as I purchased it about 8 months ago. So there was no reason for it to work at my apartment and then they move it to my house and then it's not working. I called and Ben KP came over to see why it wasn't working. He said he never unplugged anything so if it wasn't him it was the other unnamed person whom I've still not heard from.

The office rescheduled my large move from 9am to 12pm then they didn’t show until 1:20pm. The office was extremely rude after securing my deposit. They left at 7:10pm and did not set up any of the beds. They lost pieces to my daughters bed of which I had to replace. They threw my sleep number mattress on the floor bending the tubes. My son helped the movers since they were tired and over worked and not prepared for my large move that should have been the only move of the day.

Please read. Reading this review could quite literally save your furniture from being stolen by this company. Not lost, actively stolen. I used this company to move out of my apartment in Orlando In December last year. They mentioned they had their own storage warehouse that allowed a person to store their moved belongings for a monthly fee. When I found a job after college and moved into a new place, my belongings had only been stored there for 9 months and every monthly payment was paid and on time.

OK let's start off with when they left my house they tore my gate right out of the ground with their truck. When the 3 of them got out of the truck to see what they did they thought they could fix the fence with a tree branch. This was after they got out of their truck smelling like weed. When the company sent someone to repair the fence they tried to tell the new owner of the house that the gate never reached across my driveway. Kinda funny I lived there for 21 years and the gate never had a problem closing.

When I initially called & spoke to the owner he mentioned that his company provided white glove delivery which made me feel at ease. That was very far from the service that I received. When movers arrived, I kindly asked them to be careful with my beds and bed frames as they were a huge investment. What they did was remove the protector from my very expensive natural latex mattress because according to them, the mattress was flimsy and therefore it was easier for them handle the mattress by removing the protective…

This company is a complete fraud. Tori had a terrible attitude, was disrespectful to my husband, and constantly complained about lifting heavy items. During the move, the crew started arguing inside my home while my baby was trying to sleep. I told them to be quiet, and they ignored me and continued arguing. I paid for a professional service, not for three movers fighting in my house. They rushed the job and caused damage—my dresser was scratched, my fridge was dented, and my bed was assembled incorrectly.

One of the worst moving experiences. Had initially booked two moves but canceled the second move after a disappointing experience with the first one. Movers arrived late, were uncoordinated, unprofessional, making calls on their cell phones during the move, finished 3 hours later than estimated, left damages on walls and a mess (trash left on front lawn). And it took more than 3 weeks to get refund for the cancelled second move. Stay away.
