In their own words
Request for over the road job from Fort Worth to Abilene. Agreed upon 26 foot truck with 4 men for $140 an hour with quote of $1200. The owner/manager Larry promised an even earlier move was available and called me Saturday morning to confirm. I rented a car, drove over to Fort Worth from Abilene only to learn hours later they wouldn’t be able to start my move yet.
Movers beware. My experience with The Moving Guys was traumatic and frustrating. The movers themselves were very pleasant and courteous but I’ve never dealt with more unprofessional owners in my entire life. I was told my furniture would be wrapped in blankets and then wrapped in cellophane. Larry, one of the owners, gave me an estimate to move us from one town to another over the phone. I paid a non refundable deposit of $500 and reserved the date and time for the move to be done in a single day.
We used the moving guys in March and a brand new 13inch iPad and silver punch bowl with 12 cups came up missing, also they destroyed side by side refrigerator and messed up legs on a desk and a chest about $6000.00 worth.. also the woman hung up on us when we told her about it and she only offered couple hundred dollars and called us a lier basically.. I would not use them ever unless you want your stuff messed up and stolen
I was recommended to this company by abilene precision movers as they were fully booked and told me upfront. I called them and they said they’d be able to help move my one item (a wine cabinet from abilene to abilene about 15 minutes away) today later this afternoon/evening. I said perfect how much? They said $100, but a $50 deposit upfront that will count towards the $100. I said okay. Before hanging up I was told to text my name, the address where the item is located at & the address where it is going to.

When the guys arrived at your storage you were still having a roof installed on it, so they had to wait for almost two hours to do their job. We may have shown up behind schedule, but you weren't completely prepared to be moved either.

I contacted the moving guys because a family member and I just could not move those bigger furniture pieces by ourselves. The service was great as they communicated with me about every step. They called the night prior to confirm, before moving explained everything and asked where I wanted the furniture pieces placed in the new area since they were so heavy.
The moving guys were so amazing! They showed up and wrapped everything carefully, moved promptly, we're kind and considerate! They were extremely careful with all of my items.. highly highly recommend!
Moving Guys crew are so professional and courteous. My load started with 3 and 2 more showed up to help. Some small things hadn’t been packed d/t out of boxes but they came through with this also. Very quick and efficient. My move was to Weatherford and once there they unloaded me and placed heaviest items where I asked them. These guys and gal went above and beyond. You will not be disappointed with price or them moving you. God Bless y’all!!
