We used this company on July 9,2025 and are still traumatized. If I could give a rating of a negative-100 I would. Initially we were excited and felt confident in choosing this company . We were quoted $3100(approx) for a 4 bedroom house from Hephzibah GA to Lithonia GA. Promised and given 2 trucks 4 men and 8 hours no travel time. We have quite a few rooms of vintage furniture made with solid woods and it is heavy. The move was catastrophic! 2 antique end tables made of marble and wood are missing.
Dear Penny Jackson, We take all customer feedback seriously, and we’re disappointed to hear your concerns. However, we want to clarify that at no point did our crew move the tables you referenced. Any damages that occurred were the result of items being handled after our team had completed the job.
I had an appointment for 8:30 AM and took off work so that I could meet the Prominent Movers representative in order to obtain a quote and set up the move. No response even after texting. Will go a different route now, sad because based on all these 5 star ratings, thought I was getting the best. Very disappointed.

This was my first time hiring movers and with a newborn it was absolutely necessary. They made the process so smooth I would recommend them a hundred times over! The men were very professional, accommodating for how I wanted things taken down and placed, and not a single item was damaged. The number of items I had were a lot more than I expected but they assisted with a second trip and made sure everything was moved to my satisfaction before leaving - all with great attitudes.

This was my first time using a moving service and I wasn’t disappointed. I called them last minute after being stranded by another company as they were responsive, sympathetic, and even provided a discount still. Paid about $500 less than I would have with the other company, but the service wasn’t lacking at all. There were 3 guys and a truck provided for 4hrs although I did go an hour over my time. Not once did they complain about anything. All were very knowledgeable and courteous.
I hired The Prominent Movers at the very last minute and I’m so glad that I did. They were there on time, professional, fast and the price was very reasonable. They did a awesome job and look forward to working with them in the future.
I can't believe how kind and caring and professional Mike was. I have been calling local Augusta moving companies all week long, when I have free time, and every time has been rude. I even had a call where someone said, "Ma'am we are closed, our hours are posted. You should have read it. Call when open." (they hung up in my face). Mike was so nice and patient and he asked me all of the questions I wish I would have asked myself.
